    Abstract: An illustrative stent may comprise an elongated tubular member having a first end and a second end and an intermediate region disposed therebetween. The elongated tubular member configured to move between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration. The elongated tubular member may comprise at least one twisted filament, such as a knitted filament having a plurality of twisted knit stitches with intermediate rung portions extending between adjacent twisted knit stitches, or a plurality of helical filaments twisted with a plurality of longitudinal filaments.

    Abstract: A delivery system for delivering an implant having both a rigid portion and a flexible portion to a body lumen. The delivery system includes an outer tubular member and an inner tubular member slidably disposed within the lumen of the outer tubular member. The inner tubular member includes at least one opening positioned in a side wall adjacent to a distal end region. An expandable implant, including a rigid portion and a flexible portion, is disposed about the outer surface of the inner tubular member. A distal portion of a thread is wrapped around the flexible portion of the implant and configured to maintain the flexible portion in a radially collapsed configuration during delivery of the implant. A distal end region of the outer tubular member is disposed around the rigid portion of the implant to maintain the rigid portion in a radially collapsed configuration during delivery of the implant.

    Abstract: An illustrative endoluminal implant having an elongated tubular member. The elongated tubular member having a stent and a retrieval suture interwoven with the stent. The retrieval suture including a first suture loop extending about a circumference of the stent and adjacent to a suture retrieval loop and a second suture loop extending about a circumference of the stent and longitudinally spaced from the first suture loop.     Abstract: An example medical device for treating a body lumen is disclosed. The medical device includes an expandable scaffold including first and second regions, each of the first and second regions include a plurality of interstices located therein. The medical device also includes a covering spanning each of the plurality of interstices of the first region. The second region is free of the covering. A biodegradable gripping material is disposed on an outer surface of the covering. Further, the expandable scaffold is configured to shift from a collapsed state to an expanded state and the second region is configured to contact an inner surface of the body lumen in the expanded state. Additionally, the gripping material is designed to initially prevent migration of the expandable scaffold upon implantation in the body lumen until the second region is secured to the inner surface of the body lumen.
