The present disclosure provides a method for activating a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) duplication and a node device. The method includes: receiving, by a second node, a notification message transmitted by a first node when the first node configures a PDCP duplication for a bearer; after the second node receives the notification message, changing or determining, by the second node, an activation or deactivation state of uplink (UL) PDCP duplication of the bearer.

Disclosed are a method and apparatus for sending information and channel monitoring processing. The method comprises: when a terminal receives a wake-up signal and is woken up, monitoring, within a time window, a paging channel and/or a control channel in a discontinuous reception or an extended discontinuous reception manner; if the terminal receives a paging message and/or control channel scheduling information within the time window, then processing the paging message and/or processing the control channel scheduling information; and if the terminal does not receive a paging message and/or control channel scheduling information within the time window, then not monitoring the paging channel and/or control channel any more, and continuing to receive a wake-up signal. A base station sends the wake-up signal to the terminal, and sends, within a time window, information over a paging channel and/or a control channel in a discontinuous reception or an extended discontinuous reception manner. By means of the present application, it can be ensured that a terminal saves electricity, and that a service of the terminal can be reached.

The present application relates to the technical field of wireless communications, and in particular to a method for determining an establishment reason, and a terminal, for solving the problem, existing in the prior art, that there is no solution for determining an establishment reason yet under a 5G NR system. In the embodiments of the present application, an RRC layer of a terminal determines an access category of the terminal, and determines, according to a mapping relationship between the access category and a connection establishment reason, a connection establishment reason corresponding to the access category for the terminal. Since a RRC layer of a terminal in the embodiments of the present application determines, according to a mapping relationship between an access category and a connection establishment reason, a connection establishment reason corresponding to the access category for the terminal, a solution for determining an establishment reason under a 5G NR system is provided.

The method for receiving a multicast service includes receiving information about the multicast service transmitted by a network side on carriers, the carriers being an anchor carrier and/or non-anchor carriers; selecting a target carrier from the carriers according to the information about the multicast service, wherein the target carrier is the anchor carrier or the non-anchor carrier.

For a terminal requiring enhanced coverage, upon paging, repeating the paging in at least one paging cycle including the current paging cycle, such that the terminal requiring enhanced coverage determines the paging message by combining the content received during the first paging and the repeated paging, thereby reducing the occurrences of situations in which the terminal misses the paging and cannot be called.

The method comprises: determining a radio link monitor reference signal In Sync indication/Out Of Sync indication monitoring threshold; and when the radio link monitor reference signal In Sync indication/Out-Of Sync indication monitoring threshold changes, respectively managing, in conjunction with the state of a current radio link failure timer and according to the change of an In Sync indication/Out-Of Sync indication threshold pair, an In Sync indication counter, an Out-Of Sync indication counter, and a timer related to a radio link failure. By means of the present application, the channel quality under a new channel quality requirement can be more accurately reflected, so that a radio link failure state can be determined more accurately according to the current channel quality requirement.

A paging method, a base station and a UE are provided. The paging method includes: receiving, by a UE in an inactive state, a paging message for determining a paging type, the paging message being transmitted from a base station, the paging type including an access network paging initiated by an access network or a core network paging initiated by a core network; determining, by the UE, the paging type corresponding to the paging message; and when the paging type corresponding to the paging message is the core network paging, updating, by the UE, each of states of a NAS and a RRC layer for the UE into an idle state, and responding to, by the UE, the paging message.
