    Abstract: An extendable telecommunications patch panel (10) is disclosed. In one aspect, the patch panel can include a plurality of interconnectable connection parts (100) for holding telecommunications connectors (12), such as adapters. Each connection part (100) may be provided with features that allow the connection parts (100) to be interlocked with each other to form the extendable patch panel (10). In one aspect, a first connection feature (122) can be located on a connection part first side (102) and a second connection feature (124) can be located on a connection part second side (104). The first connection feature (122) can be configured to interlock with the second connection feature (124) of an adjacent connection part (100). The connection part (100) may also be provided with an adapter (150) that allows the connection parts (100) to be connected in a staggered formation to result in a staggered patch panel (10).

    Abstract: Aspects and techniques of the present disclosure relate to an IP 55 rated enclosure that does not use a rubber O-ring or comparable elastomeric sealing member disposed between pieces of the enclosure to provide sealing. Another aspect of the present disclosure relates to an IP 55 compliant sealing interface that includes mating sealing profiles made of the identical materials. A further aspect of the present disclosure relates to an enclosure having jet stream redirecting structures that prevent spray from a water jet from being sprayed directly into an ingress path defined by a sealing interface. A further aspect of the present disclosure relates to a sealing interface provided by an interference-fit between two plastic profiles which create pressure on the interface keeping it closed while concurrently including angled surfaces so that greater tolerances are allowed.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a positioning means for a fibre optic connector assembly, a fibre optic connector assembly and a fibre termination unit comprising the positioning means through which manufacturing tolerances can be absorbed to provide an improved optical interconnection with a high signal transmission rate. The positioning means comprises a receiving means for receiving one of a jack assembly or plug assembly and a stationary support supporting said receiving means, wherein the receiving means is displaceable to a certain extent relative to the stationary support at least along one direction other than a connection direction for optically interconnecting the optical fibers allowing an alignment of the receivable jack or plug assembly along the direction transversal to the connection direction. A spring loaded element resiliently urges said receiving means away from the support in one embodiment.

    Abstract: A spool device (60, 90) for storing at least a portion of a telecommunications cable (800) in a storage configuration (870) includes a base (100, 600), a spool member (300, 700), and a loop engaging member (440, 740). The base (100, 600) includes a plurality of cable holders (110, 110x, 110y, 110a, 110p) configured for receiving a first portion (822, 822a, 822p) and a second portion (824, 824p) of the cable (800). The spool member (300, 700) is mounted to the base (100, 600) and includes a wrapping area (314, 714) that is configured for storing a coiled portion (826) of the cable (800). The loop engaging member (440, 740) is configured for engaging a looped portion (828) of the cable (800) and thereby secures at least the coiled portion (826) and the looped portion (828) of the cable (800). The spool device (60, 90) may be used as an adjustable overlength device for looped cable. The spool device (60, 90) may store and dispense the cable (800) while ends (802, 804) of the cable (800) remain connected to stationary first and second devices (902, 904), respectively.
