    Abstract: A connector assembly (10) is disclosed in which a connector part (12) and a cable manager part (20) are provided. The cable manager part (20) can be provided with a rear housing (40), a lacing fixture part (30), and a grounding part (50). In one aspect, the grounding part (50) provides grounding contact between an inserted cable (4) and the connector part (12). In one aspect, the grounding part (50) secures the connector part (12) to the rear housing part (40). In one example, a connector assembly (110) is provided with a grounding arrangement (150) including a plurality of deflectable grounding members (152) and provides grounding contact between the inserted cable (4) and the connector part (112). In one aspect, the grounding members (152) each provide two points of contact against the cable (4).

    Abstract: A compliant mechanism tool for connector termination can be used to seat a rear body portion of a connector against or within a forward housing portion of the connector. Seating the rear body portion causes conductors, which are coupled to the rear body portion, to electrically couple with respective ones of contacts positioned with the forwarding housing. The compliant mechanism tool includes first and second handles that can be subjected to a squeezing motion causing connected first and second arms to propel a ram toward a head portion of the tool. The ram interfaces with the forward housing portion of the connector causing the forward housing to be pushed against the rear body portion causing seating of the rear body portion; motion of the forward housing is limited by a stop within the head portion of the tool.

    Abstract: A shielded in-line connector includes conductive first and second body portions, each with a securement feature, as well as conductive first and second clips. The first and second body portions are secured to one another to define an unshielded connector-receiving cavity as well as first and second shielded cable openings; each of the first and second shielded cable openings being proximate the respective clip securement feature. Each of the clip securement features includes a channel supportive of a respective shielded cable extending from each of the first and second shielded cable openings; each of the shielded cables having an exposed shield. The first and second clips are adjustably secured to a respective one of the first and second securement features to position the respective clip in direct contact with the exposed shield of the respective shielded cable.

    Abstract: A telecommunications patch panel system (10) including a plurality of multiport telecommunications bezel assemblies (200) installed within a panel frame (100) is presented. The bezel assemblies (200) are formed from cooperating first and second frame parts (210, 240) to define a plurality of jack receptacle openings (202). In one example, the plurality of jack receptacles (202) are arranged in a two-row array. The first and second frame parts (210, 240) also retain a central bonding strip (290) having a plurality of grounding contact elements (292, 293). The grounding contact elements (292, 293) ground the jack modules (120) that are installed within the bezel assembly jack receptacle openings (202). Where a two-row array of jack receptacle openings (202) is provided, the central bonding strip (290) can be configured to extend between the rows. The central bonding strip (290) can provide grounding for multiple bezel assemblies (200).
