摘要： The fluid section or head (10) for a plural component applicator can be easily assembled or removed from the air section (12) by turning the fluid head ⅛ of a turn. The fluid head (10) has four tabs (14) that protrude and engage with four undercut features (16) within the handle (12). Tabs (14) are inserted through corresponding openings (16) in the front (12a) of air section (12) and rotated such that tabs (14) are retained behind lips (18). A locking tab feature (20) in the hose manifold (24) mates to a recess feature (22) in the handle (12) to prevent the fluid section (10) from rotating.

摘要： The side seal assembly consists of three main components: a hardened and precision ground side seal 12, a spring 14 and a housing 16 in which the side seal 12 and spring 14 are assembled. The side seal contains two tabs 22 that fit through a slot feature 24 in the housing. The tabs 22 on the side seal 12 slide through the housing slot 24 into a relief area 26 that allows the side seal 12 to turn 90 degrees and fall into a shallow pocket 28 that keeps the side seal 12 retained.

摘要： A plural component spray gun (1) is designed for spraying quick setting materials such as foams, polyurea and the like. Towards this end, the gun (1) is designed so as to be easily serviceable with a minimum of tools. For example, the side seal cartridges (18) and (20) may be installed and removed without tools by removing the retaining ring (9) and then extracting them from the fluid housing (11). Those cartridges (18) and (20) are easily disassembled and cleaned. Similarly, the fluid housing (11) may be removed from the handle/body (1) by unscrewing the lock ring (7) by hand.

摘要： Enclosure (16) for housing a coupler (18) between a driving rod (20) and a driven rod (22) comprises a first and a second preferably cylindrical pieces (30, 28). Said pieces are sized so that the first piece (30) is able to slide telescopically within the second piece (28) and are threaded to engage each other when in operation the enclosure (16) is in a close position, thereby the enclosure (16) being able to retain lubricant in the inside. For service, after having drained the lubricant from the enclosure (16), the two pieces are loosened by screwing the first piece (30) until the end of the thread is reached, and then the first piece (30) is slideably telescoped into the second piece (28), thereby setting the enclosure (16) in an open position an enabling easy access to the rod coupler (18).
