Abstract:
A main body for a spray gun, in particular a paint spray gun, has at least one head region for attachment of a nozzle arrangement. The head region has at least one inner wall, one outer wall and one middle wall arranged therebetween. The walls are formed in encircling fashion and in one piece with the main body, with the front end of the middle wall set back in relation to the front end of the outer wall along an axis. This main body does not require any additional sealing element for sealing between the atomization air region and horn air region. The middle wall is well protected against damage even when a nozzle has been unscrewed, and the gun head can be of very compact design.
Abstract:
A paint container for use with a reusable dispensing apparatus, and the reusable dispensing apparatus are provided to dispense paint under pressure. The paint container includes a housing defining an interior space that is devoid of an internal valve, and a combination comprising a propellant combined with paint within the interior space. A container cap is installed on the housing to enclose the propellant combined with the paint within the interior space at an elevated pressure, and defines a channel that cooperates with a portion of the housing. A compressible gasket is disposed within the channel and compressed between the container cap and the portion of the housing to form a seal that interferes with an escape of the propellant combined with the paint between the container cap and the housing. A releasable fastener engages releasably couples the reusable dispensing apparatus to the container cap.
Abstract:
A spray tip includes a body portion with an aperture extending through the body portion from an aperture inlet to an aperture outlet, and a handle portion attached to the body portion. The handle portion is configured to rotate the body portion. A retainer with an upstream end and a downstream end is positioned in the aperture of the body portion. A pre-orifice piece with an upstream end and a downstream end is positioned in the aperture of the body portion. A tip piece with an upstream end and a downstream end is positioned in the aperture of the body portion. The downstream end comprises an outlet nozzle.
Abstract:
A pneumatic spraying assembly for a coating product including a pneumatic sprayer and a supply line for the pneumatic sprayer from a pressurized coating product source to which the supply line is connected by its upstream end, the pneumatic sprayer including a sprayer body and a control valve for controlling flow of the coating product toward a spraying area for the coating product, the controlling valve including a needle selectively closing off an outlet orifice of an inner volume of the sprayer body and the spraying assembly defining a flow path for the coating product, from the upstream end of the supply line to the outlet orifice of the inner volume, wherein a restrictor for restricting flow of the coating product is mounted on the flow path to create a pressure loss upstream from the outlet orifice.
Abstract:
A refillable fluid container for a fluid dispenser is provided. The refillable fluid dispenser includes a body, an output port and a dispensing mechanism. The body includes at least one wall that defines a reservoir for storing fluid therein. The output port is in fluid communication with the reservoir. The dispensing mechanism is associated with the output port. The dispensing mechanism is selectively operable between a closed position and an opened position. A fluid dispenser is also provided.
Abstract:
A fluid housing for a spray gun includes a main body with a first inlet for connection to a source of pressurized air, a second inlet for connection to a source of a first polyurethane foam component, and a third inlet for connection to a source of a second polyurethane foam component. The main body also includes a valve block having a center gear, a first valve gear coupled to and driven by the center gear, a second valve gear coupled to and driven by the center gear, and a third valve gear coupled to and driven by the center gear.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of aligning magnetic flakes, which includes: coating a substrate with a carrier having the flakes dispersed therein, moving the substrate in a magnetic field so as to align the flakes along force lines of the magnetic field in the absence of an effect from a solidifying means, and at least partially solidifying the carrier using a solidifying means while further moving the substrate in the magnetic field so as to secure the magnetic flakes in the carrier while the magnetic field maintains alignment of the magnetic flakes. An apparatus is provided, which has a belt for moving a substrate along a magnet assembly for aligning magnetic flakes. The apparatus also includes a solidifying means, such as a UV- or e-beam source, and a cover above a portion of the magnet assembly for protecting the flakes from the effect of the solidifying means.
Abstract:
A cold spray nozzle assembly includes a conduit for carrying at least one of a heated gas and a powder; a nozzle; and a compression tube fitting connecting the nozzle to the conduit.

Abstract:
The fluid section or head (10) for a plural component applicator can be easily assembled or removed from the air section (12) by turning the fluid head ⅛ of a turn. The fluid head (10) has four tabs (14) that protrude and engage with four undercut features (16) within the handle (12). Tabs (14) are inserted through corresponding openings (16) in the front (12a) of air section (12) and rotated such that tabs (14) are retained behind lips (18). A locking tab feature (20) in the hose manifold (24) mates to a recess feature (22) in the handle (12) to prevent the fluid section (10) from rotating.
