摘要： Multi-layer composite structures offer improved weatherability and adhesion to fiber-reinforced plastic substrates when compared to structures now available. These composites have an outer layer made from a polyacrylate, a second layer made from an acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylate rubber terpolymer; a third layer made from an ABS polymer; and optionally a fourth layer made from a polyacrylate. The layers include one or more layers having an improvement selected from among: (a) the improvement wherein the second layer is made from an acrylate-modified acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylate rubber terpolymer; (b) the improvement wherein the third layer is a modified ABS that further includes a polymer modifier that decreases the softening of the ABS on contact with styrene, and an acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylate rubber terpolymer; and (c) the improvement wherein the fourth layer is present and is a polyacrylate. This composite can be applied to a fiber-reinforced plastic substrate such as fiberglass as a coating.

A method for the synthesis of a silicophosphate using a two-phase system which includes an organic phase comprising an organosilicon compound and an aqueous phase comprising a phosphoric acid is also provided.

The retention clip (12) includes a substantially tubular wall (16) presenting a longitudinally extending channel (18) and first and second opposed ends (20,22), the wall defining a window (24) intermediate the ends (20,22) and presenting first and second legs (32,34) extending into the channel (18). The internal contact (14) is received in the channel (18) and retained by the first and second legs (32,34) against longitudinal shifting in the channel (18). Lead wires (58,60) having respective terminals (62,64), when inserted into the channel (18) are retained by tines (40,42) which project into the channel (18) and engage circumscribing bands (68) on the terminals (62,64) to resist separation of the wires from the connector (10) and provide a high integrity splice capable of separation when desired by using a standard extraction/separation tool. The retention clip (12) thereby provides an integral, single element capable of conducting current between spliced wires and retaining them against undesired separation.

摘要： A circuit breaker configured to be remotely operated is disclosed. The circuit breaker includes a set of main contacts configured to connect between an electrical source and an electrical load, an operating mechanism in operable communication to open and close the main contacts, and a remotely operable drive system configured to open and close the main contacts separate from actuation of the operating mechanism. The drive system includes a motor responsive to first and second control signals, a primary drive responsive to the motor, and an opening spring responsive to the primary drive, the main contacts being responsive to the opening spring. In response to the first control signal, the primary drive moves to charge the opening spring, and in response to the second control signal and the main contacts being closed, the primary drive moves to allow the opening spring to discharge thereby resulting in the main contacts opening independent of the motor.
