摘要: Multi-layer composite structures offer improved weatherability and adhesion to fiber-reinforced plastic substrates when compared to structures now available. These composites have an outer layer made from a polyacrylate, a second layer made from an acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylate rubber terpolymer; a third layer made from an ABS polymer; and optionally a fourth layer made from a polyacrylate. The layers include one or more layers having an improvement selected from among: (a) the improvement wherein the second layer is made from an acrylate-modified acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylate rubber terpolymer; (b) the improvement wherein the third layer is a modified ABS that further includes a polymer modifier that decreases the softening of the ABS on contact with styrene, and an acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylate rubber terpolymer; and (c) the improvement wherein the fourth layer is present and is a polyacrylate. This composite can be applied to a fiber-reinforced plastic substrate such as fiberglass as a coating.

摘要: The invention provides a composition and method for obtaining both light and dark laser marks of varying shades and intensities on a single plastic article by selectively controlling laser parameters. The invention further provides compositions and methods for obtaining pre-selected one-color and multi-colored designs on plastic articles, by selectively controlling material formulations and laser parameter settings.

摘要: A method for obtaining both light and dark laser marks on a colored plastic article by using a composition with (i) a thermoplastic resin that foams when heated, (ii) about 0.4% to 0.7% by weight of a mica based laser energy absorbing additive and (iii) a coloring agent with one or more colorants selected from the group of pigments, dyes, and mixtures of pigments and dyes. Using a laser at certain settings results in charring of the resin to produce dark laser marks. At other selected laser settings, the resin foams to produce a light mark on a colored background. By varying the laser energy settings, various degrees of both foaming and charring can be achieved on a single plastic article, having a single resin composition, resulting in a multicolored laser image produced by various shades of light and/or dark marks against the background color.

摘要: The invention provides molded, extruded or formed phosphorescent plastic articles having laser marked indicia and methods for preparing the articles. The indicia may be seen as a contrast against a phosphorescent background or, alternatively, the indicia may themselves be phosphorescent. An article of the invention has a composition comprising about 50% to about 99% by weight of a thermoplastic or thermosetting resin, about 1% to about 50% by weight of a phosphorescent phosphor pigment and about 0.001% to about 1% by weight of a laser energy absorbing additive. Resin compositions which themselves are laser energy absorbing do not require the additive; however, the addition of small quantities of the laser energy additive enhances the quality and contrast of the laser mark. The composition may further comprise small quantities of one or more of a whitening pigment, a lubricating agent, or an inert filler without interfering with the phosphorescence of the article and/or the quality and contrast of the laser mark.

摘要: The present invention relates to technique for optimized assignment of Abis transmission resources based on dynamic statistical time division multiplexing, the method comprising the steps of: assigning a set of 64 k TS's to GPRS/EGPRS services on an Abis link, the set of 64 k TS's shared among all BTS's connected to the Abis interface; a PCU assigning sufficient Abis transmission resources to a TRX based on the load thereof if the TRX has EGPRS services; a BSC interconnecting Abis transmission resources and BSC-PCU transmission resources and informing a BTS that said Abis transmission resources have been assigned to a TRE mapped to the TRX; the PCU reassigning bandwidth of the Abis transmission resources based on changes in the load of the TRX; in each TRX, all RTS's statistical-time-division-multiplexing all transmission resources of the TRX based on flow in different periods for different RTS's. The present invention will achieve dynamic sharing of Abis transmission resources on a RTS layer so as to optimize using of Abis transmission resources, reduce waste and decrease operating cost.
