Abstract: Apparatus detecting driving incapability state of a driver includes: a head detection portion that successively detects a head portion, which is higher than a neck of the driver, based on an image of a driver's seat captured by an imaging device mounted in a vehicle; and an out-of-frame state detection portion that detects that the driver is incapable of driving, when the head portion detected by the head detection portion is out of a predetermined scope in the image during travelling of the vehicle.

Abstract: Provided is at least two of a direction determination unit which determines that the state is abnormal when a gaze direction of a driver of a vehicle is not within a first predetermined range based on a captured image of a head of the driver, a height determination unit which determines that the state is abnormal when a height of an eye of the driver is not within a second predetermined range based on the captured image, and a position determination unit which determines that the state is abnormal when a position of the head in a lateral direction is not within a third predetermined range based on the captured image; and an abnormal state determination unit which determines whether the state of the driver is abnormal based on the determination results of the determination units.

Abstract: According to the present disclosure, a state estimation device estimating a state of a monitoring target based on an involuntary eye movement of an eyeball of the monitoring target is provided. The state estimation device in the present disclosure includes a microsaccade information acquisition portion obtaining microsaccade information that includes a state of variation of a gaze angle when a microsaccade of the involuntary eye movement occurs, and a state estimation portion estimating the state of the monitoring target based on the microsaccade information.

Abstract: A control method for a vehicle includes: predicting a position of an eye point of an occupant after a state of a vehicle seat is changed based on amount of adjustment of an adjusting mechanism due to change in state of the vehicle seat; determining whether or not the predicted position of the eye point is located within a measurement range of a camera member installed to a steering member; and if it is determined that the predicted position of the eye point is not located within the measurement range of the camera member, moving the measurement range of the camera member toward the predicted position of the eye point synchronously with the steering member.
