Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for improving the privacy and security of wireless communications by automatically preloading an electronic subscriber identity module (eSIM) profile associated with a temporary service plan prior to making a phone call to a particular phone number and by leveraging eSIM profiles to enable number portability are described. Before placing a call to a new or unknown phone number, a mobile phone may automatically identify a temporary eSIM profile from a pool of eSIM profiles based on a geographic location of the mobile phone and/or the particular phone number to be called. The temporary eSIM profile may be loaded into an embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC) of the mobile phone prior to placing the call to the new or unknown phone number.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for improving the privacy and security of wireless communications by leveraging electronic subscriber identity module (eSIM) profiles to enable number portability and the ability to transfer a secondary service plan from a first computing device to a second computing device are described. A second eSIM profile associated with a secondary service plan that depends on a primary service plan used by the first computing device may be transferred to the second computing device by displaying a QR code on a display screen of the first computing device or by sending an electronic message from the first computing device to the second computing device. The second eSIM profile may be automatically identified by the first mobile device based on a location of the second mobile device.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to wireless communication. In some aspects, a method includes receiving, at one or more computing devices, a first information packet from a first private network, wherein a destination of the first information packet is a second private network, wherein the first private network and the second private network differ with respect to at least one network parameter such that the first information packet is incompatible with the second private network; converting the first information packet to a second information packet that accounts for the incompatibility with respect to the at least one network parameter such that the second information packet is decodable at the second private network; and routing the second information packet to the second private network.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to wireless communication. In some aspects, a method includes receiving, at one or more computing devices, one or more information packets from a first private network; determining, based on information included in the one or more information packets, one or more routes to deliver the one or more information packets to a second private network, wherein the one or more routes are determined based on routing criteria associated with routing information packets between the first and second private networks; and dispatching the one or more information packets to be routed through at least one of the determined routes.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FLEXIBLE ACCESS TO PRIORITY ACCESS TIERS IN SHARED RADIO FREQUENCY (RF) SPECTRUM BANDS

Abstract: Embodiments include systems and methods for flexible access to priority access tiers in shared radio frequency (RF) spectrum bands. An example embodiment provides automated mechanisms for network operators to obtain the benefits of using a priority access license (PAL) in the Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS), including access to such protected frequency bands, on an as-needed and/or on-demand basis without having to own a PAL (CBRS-As-A-Service (CAAS)). This CAAS thereby provides an “interference insurance” service to network operators. In response to receiving an indication of the at least one condition being met (e.g., a current interference level surpassing a threshold), a priority access tier license controller automatically causes the wireless network operator to be able to operate a wireless network using the PAL to the shared frequency spectrum band and thus be protected from RF interference by lower priority access users.

Abstract: Devices, systems and processes for facilitating ad hoc communications in dense areas are described. A system may include a first user source device (USD) communicatively coupled to an internal net, a first user destination device (UDD) communicatively coupled to an external net and a user hub device (UHD), coupled to each of the internal net and the external. The UHD may facilitate connectivity between the first USD and the first UDD via the internal net and the external net. The internal net may use a common use communications technology, and may be formed in a dense area. The internal net may be formed on an ad hoc basis. The external net may use a public wireless system provider communications system located external to the dense area.
