摘要: A method and system for optimizing data transfers includes generating a hash signature for a requested data file using a router agent of a Local Area Network (LAN), in response to an initiating user requesting the requested data file using a computer on a LAN communicating with a WAN/Internet, and the router agent configuring a file byte-stream for requested data files from the Wide Area Network (WAN/Internet). The generated hash signature of the requested data file is compared with an existing hash signature of an existing data file accessible using the local area network (LAN). The requested data file can be downloaded locally if a user accepts a local download of the requested data file being accessible using the LAN, in response to the generated hash signature matching the hash signature of the existing data file.

The opportunistic forwarding method for a content-based information centric network in a delay tolerant network environment having a processor and a memory includes when a first node contacts a second node, updating a first delivery predictability and a second delivery predictability of the first node based on contact record information between the first node and the second node and data that the second node has, updating a first message of the first node by comparing the first message including first interest information and first data that the first node has with a second message including second interest information and second data that the second node has, and delivering the first message of the first node to the second node based on the first and second delivery predictabilities of the first node.

The DAS includes a DAS controller, which is an OpenFlow controller, and one or more DAS units in order to dynamically control a traffic transmission policy of the DAS units using an OpenFlow protocol, wherein the DAS controller generates and changes a traffic transmission policy by reflecting a traffic transmission policy change request by operator manipulation or a software-defined network supporting application and a need for changing of the traffic transmission policy according to a status of the DAS unit and a status of a port, and the DAS unit transmits received traffic to a destination according to the policy.

摘要: Systems, methods, and network topology for network address translation (NAT) are disclosed. In some embodiments, a cluster of NAT devices shares at least one backup NAT device configured to back up all or some of the NAT devices in the cluster. Each NAT device, including the backup NAT device, advertises its status at a regular interval to a router. If the router determines that an active NAT device is no longer advertising its status, the router can send data to the backup NAT. In some embodiments, the router routes traffic to active and backup devices based on networking protocols such as Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and/or Open Shortest Path First (OSPF). The router can also route data to NAT devices using a round-robin algorithm.

When the communication unit is connected to the first network, the processor decides a next connection destination candidate on the basis of the priority level information, checks whether an operation requiring continuous connection between the communication unit and any one of the plurality of networks is being executed, and checks whether a virtual network has been established. If the operation is being executed and a virtual network has been established, the processor switches the connection destination of the communication unit from the first network to the next connection destination candidate.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention include methods, systems, and computer program products for packet forwarding. Aspects of the invention include receiving, from a source node, a first network queue in a set of network queues, wherein the first network queue includes one or more minimum network traffic performance requirements. A set of network paths is analyzed to determine a performance level for each network path and identify a first network path and a second network path with a performance level above the one or more minimum performance requirements of the first network queue. A determination is made that the first network path has a higher performance level than the second network path. Based at least in part on determining that the first network path has a higher performance level than the second network path, the first network queue is mapped to the first network path.

In some embodiments, transceiver circuitry may attempt to transmit the data using a first transmission mode, the first transmission mode using the first RAT connection and the data including the QoS indicator and retransmit, in response to the attempt failing, the data using a second transmission mode.
