Abstract:
A reinforcement strip is laid on a rotating receiving surface during the manufacture of a tire. The strip passes through a guide which is moved alternatingly transversely relative to a travel path of the strip, whereby the strip is laid in an undulating pattern on the receiving surface. The amplitude of the alternating transverse movement is varied as a function of a ratio of: (a) the speed of a portion of the strip approaching the guide, and (b) the speed of the receiving surface. Between the guide and the receiving surface the strip is pivoted by 90 degrees about the strip's longitudinal axis so as to be laid tangentially on the receiving surface.
Abstract:
Aspects provide discrete-time analog, digitally programmable filtering. A filter includes a plurality of transistors coupled as a current mode circuit. Further included is a switch for use in switching the plurality of transistors in and out to tune the current mode circuit, wherein adjustable low bandwidth filtering using small silicon area without passive components is achieved.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a multilayer silicone release surface comprising a backing, a support layer on the backing, and a silicone layer of the support layer. The various layers of the multilayer release surface are deposited substantially simultaneously, as for example by a dual die or using curtain coating techniques.
Abstract:
A multiple cable connector box conductively connects a plurality of multi-conductor cables. Each cable has a first multi-contact connector which is conductively connectable to a second multi-contact connector supported within the multiple cable connector box. The box or housing has a plurality of openings with each multi-conductor cable extending through one of the openings. A plurality of flexible retaining posts can hold each second multi-contact connector within the box in at least two positions such that each cable can extend into the box through at least one of two different openings by changing the second connector's position within the box. Each opening not having one of the cables extending therethrough is closed off with a cover.
Abstract:
Described and shown is a Mailbox system (1) for receiving at least one item of mail. In order to simplify the delivery and/or handing over of items of mail the mailbox system (1) can comprise a mailbox (2) and a mailbox holder (3), wherein the mailbox (2) has an interior for receiving the at least one item of mail and at least one entry (4) to the interior for inserting the at least one item of mail into the interior, and wherein the mailbox (2) is detachably held by the mailbox holder (3).

Abstract:
The invention relates to a rack and pinion steering gear for a motor vehicle, having a steering pinion (1), which is connected to a steering shaft and is engaged with a gear rack (2) which is movably mounted in a housing (3), and having a pressure piece (8), which is arranged in the housing (3) in a pressure piece bore (7) and keeps the gear rack (2) engaged free from play with the steering pinion (1), and a pressure piece (8) for a rack and pinion steering gear, wherein the pressure piece (8) has an outer metallic casing (15) which is inserted with a press fit into the pressure piece bore (7), at least one elastomer damping element, in particular an elastomer casing (14), is arranged in the metallic casing (15) and a metallic pressure piece core is arranged which is enclosed by the at least one elastomer damping element.
Abstract:
A baler is equipped with a crop re-hydration system including a steam injection manifold mounted for discharging steam onto a windrow of crop as the windrow is being fed into the baler. The steam injection manifold has a steam discharge orifice arrangement which can be adjusted to vary the discharge width. A flexible duct guides discharged steam to the crop windrow.
Abstract:
A method for measuring tumor response to a cancer therapy is provided. The method comprises the steps of injecting a polymeric contrast agent in a subject; obtaining a series of magnetic resonance image signals of the contrast agent in the tumor for up to about 60 minutes; and determining a slope of the magnetic resonance image signal as a function of time.
