摘要: An inductive electrical device comprises multiple laminations, each lamination comprising: a generally planar electrically nonconductive substrate that has a central axis normal to its plane, a first surface and a second surface; at least one electrically conductive layer pattern along the first surface in the form of a narrow strip that starts from a first point displaced from the central axis and extends along the first surface about the central axis through a first angle of rotation to a second point; a least one electrically conductive layer pattern along the second surface in the form of a narrow strip that starts from the second point and extends along the second surface about the central axis through a second angle of rotation to at least the first point; an electrically conductive coupling region passing through the substrate proximate the second point that couples the electrically conductive layer pattern along the first surface to the electrically conductive layer pattern along the second surface; wherein stacking the laminations upon each other form at least one winding with multiple turns for the inductive device.

摘要: An electrical current sensing assembly comprises: a conductive input substrate with a generally planar contact surface; a conductive output substrate with a generally planar contact surface proximate and substantially parallel to the input substrate contact surface; a conductive current sense path extending from the input substrate contact surface to the output substrate contact surface with a sense path cross sectional area generally normal to electrical current flow; a conductive current bypass path extending from the input substrate contact surface to the output substrate contact surface with a bypass path cross sectional area generally normal to electrical current flow; and an electrical current sensing device proximate the current sense path for sensing electrical current passing through the current sense path; wherein the ratio of the current passing through the bypass path to the current passing through the sense path is proportional to the ratio of the bypass path cross sectional area to the sensing path cross sectional area to limit current in the sensing path to the measurement range of the current sensing device.

摘要: The disadvantage of complexity and size in back up bearings for permanent magnet biased magnetic bearings is avoided in a construction including a rotor (10) formed at least in part of magnetic material, at least two diametrically opposite magnetic poles (32, 34; 36, 38) about the rotor and terminating in ends slightly spaced therefrom to define a first gap (G.sub.1), and electrical windings (42, 43) associated with each pole (32, 34, 36, 38). A collar (46) of magnetic material is axially spaced from the poles (32, 34, 36, 38) and has an opening (48) receiving the rotor (10) such that a small peripheral space exists between the opening (48) and the rotor (10). An array (44) of permanent magnets (45) is located in magnetic conducting relation with the collar (46) and the poles (32, 34, 36, 38) and a sleeve (50) of bearing material is disposed in the peripheral space and carried by the collar (46) to be spaced from the rotor (10) by a small gap (G.sub.2).

A thermoelectric element is connected on the jumper line such that the voltage spike will pass through a hot node on the thermoelectric element.
