    摘要: In a method of providing real time difference determination for a mobile terminal in a telecommunication system, comprising a plurality of eNodeBs in communication with a core network, each eNodeB having a plurality of associated cells, each cell potentially servicing one or more mobile terminals, determining S1O a first timing advance value representative of a first geographical distance measure between the mobile terminal and a first serving eNodeB prior to a handover to a second serving eNode B, determining S20 a second timing advance value representative of a second geographical distance measure between the mobile terminal and the second eNodeB after the handover. Subsequently, determining S30 a time of arrival measure between the mobile terminal and at least two eNodeBs, and signaling S40 representations of the determined first and second geographical distance measures and the determined time of arrival measures for said mobile terminal to at least said second eNodeB, together with a respective unique identification parameter of the at least two eNodeBs, wherein determination of real time differences is enabled based on at least the signaled representations.

    摘要: An arrangement (10) for noise rise estimation comprises a front end signal conditioning arrangement (9) and an interference whitener (14) connected thereto. The interference whitener (10) is arranged for providing interference whitening of a front end signal. A processor (20) is arranged for measuring received total wideband power received at the front end signal conditioning arrangement (9) a plurality of times. An estimate of a noise floor measure is computed by the processor (20) based on the measured received total wideband powers. The processor (20) determines an equivalent total wideband power of the output from the interference whitener (14). The processor (20) also calculates a noise rise measure, based on the equivalent total wideband power and the noise floor measure, and compensates the noise rise measure for the interference whitening. A digital receiver (12) is connected to the output from the interference whitener (14).

    摘要: A method in conjunction with positioning of a mobile terminal in a cellular telecommunication system is disclosed. According to the method, an end user's requested positioning accuracy for the positioning of the mobile terminal is determined (510). Also, an estimated confidence value for the positioning of the mobile terminal is determined (520), and so is a required confidence value for the end user (530). Then, a pre-scale value is produced (540) based on at least the estimated confidence value and the required confidence value. The pre-scale value is applied (550) to the requested positioning accuracy to obtain a pre-scaled requested positioning accuracy. Then, the pre-scaled requested positioning accuracy is sent (560) in the cellular telecommunication system towards the mobile terminal.

The first node and the second node are adapted to exchange wireless signals. The method comprises receiving a signal from the second node. Apart of the received signal that has propagated through a first channel path from the second node is detected by using a circular correlator. A timing estimate associated with the propagation time of the part of the signal which is received over the first channel path from the second node is calculated. A collective positioning measurement order (50) is issued to a multitude of mobile terminals (40) in a first cell (10) of the cellular communication system (1). Each mobile terminal (40) receives information concerning a collective positioning measurement order. The mobile terminal (40) performs a positioning operation, typically a positioning measurement on a ranging signal (51, 52) or transmission of a ranging signal (53), preferably intermittently at a multitude of times, according to a predetermined rule based on the information concerning the collective positioning measurement order. An updating of a storage with positioning data can preferably be obtained. In terrestrially based positioning systems, signal resources dedicated to positioning measurement can be reserved in the cellular communication system.
