    摘要: Disclosed is an additive for lithographic printing ink improved in flow, drying and interfacial properties. This additive contains a compound having an alkylene oxide unit and of a HLB value of 3 to 13. Further improvement can be attained by the use of additive which contains a combination of at least one compound having an alkylene oxide unit and a hydrocarbon radical of 1 to 8 carbon atoms and at least one compound having an alkylene oxide unit and a hydrocarbon radical of 9 or more carbon atoms, the average HLB value of said combination being 3 to 13.

    摘要: Surface treatment of lithographic printing plate which utilizes as ink receptive areas a photographically formed image silver per se or image silver halide per se is carried out in the presence of an organic compound having at least one mercapto or thione group and at least one hydrophilic group in the same molecule and an inorganic water-insoluble fine powder having a particle size of 0.1.mu. or less after imagewise exposure of a silver halide emulsion layer and processing thereof to develop an image, whereby ink receptivity, anti-staining property and printing endurance of the plate can be improved.

    摘要: Provided is a method for making a lithographic printing plate in which the development is carryied out by coating a developer on a photosensitive element comprising a support and at least a silver halide emulsion layer and a physical development nuclei layer, characterized in that coating amount of the developer is 60 ml or less for 1 m.sup.2 of the photosensitive element, and the developer contains at least one thioether compound and at least one alkanolamine compound as silver halide solvents. The resulting lithographic printing plate is high in printing endurance and has no stains in non-image portions. Furthermore, the running development processing can be stably carried out.

    摘要: A rear suspension system for a four-wheel-steered vehicle has a wheel support which supports a rear wheel for rotation and is connected to a rear wheel turning rod of the rear wheel turning mechanism. A pair of suspension arms are connected to the wheel support and guide the wheel support so that the rear wheel on the wheel support is turned about a kingpin axis in response to displacement of the rear wheel turning rod member. One of the suspension arms includes a so-called I-shaped arm which is connected for rotation to the wheel support at one end and to the vehicle body at the other end, and the kingpin axis intersects the tread of the rear wheel at a point which is offset in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body from the point at which a side force acts on the rear wheel during cornering. A damping system is connected between the I-shaped arm and the vehicle body. The I-shaped arm is positioned so that the counterforce of the damping system generates a moment which tends to turn the rear wheel in the direction opposite to the direction in which the moment generated by the side force acting on the rear wheel when the vehicle corners with the rear wheel being the outer wheel tends to turn the rear wheel.

    摘要: An automotive suspension comprises a wheel support for rotatably supporting a rear wheel, a pair of front and rear lateral link systems for supporting the wheel support on the vehicle body so that it is swingable on the vertical and longitudinal directions of the vehicle body and producing a toe-in movement in the rear wheel when the rear wheel is subjected to rearward force, and a trailing link system for supporting resiliently either one of the wheel support and the connecting portion of the lateral links with the wheel support to the vehicle body so that the wheel support is allowed to travel a short distance in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body. At least one of said front and lateral link systems is set to exhibit a non-linear deformation characteristic with respect to lateral force acting on the rear wheel. The trailing link system is set to exhibit a non-linear deformation characteristic which has a given relation with said non-linear deformation characteristic of said lateral link system. The suspension can produce a toe-in movement in the rear wheel with respect to the rearward force so that vehicle motional stability as well as riding comfort can be improved.

    摘要: Lithographic printing plates which have such a high sensitivity as permitting use of semiconductor laser beam of low output, a high resolving power and a high printing endurance and are free from occurrence of scumming are made by a method which comprises imagewise exposing a light sensitive material which comprises a support and at least a silver halide emulsion layer and a surface physical development nuclei layer provided on the support, said emulsion layer comprising silver halide grains which contain at least silver bromide and containing at least one sensitizing dye having a maximum spectral sensitivity in the region of longer than 700 .mu.m and then developing the exposed light sensitive material with a silver complex diffusion transfer developer containing at least a thiocyanate. Further improvement can be obtained by providing an antihalation means to keep the reflectance of a light of longer than 700 .mu.m at 13-40%.
