    摘要: A suspension assembly for a vehicle includes a knuckle, a spring-damper assembly laterally spaced from the knuckle, a first control arm having an inner end and an outer end, a second control arm having an inner end and an outer end, and a stability link having an inner end and an outer end. The inner end of the first control arm is connected to a vehicle body and the outer end of the first control arm is connected to the knuckle by a lower ball joint. The spring-damper assembly is rotatably connected to the first control arm at a lower arm pivot location between the inner and outer ends of the first control arm. The inner end of the second control arm is rotatably connected to the spring-damper assembly at a second control arm pivot location spaced apart from the first control arm pivot location and the outer end of the first control arm is connected to the knuckle by a upper ball joint. The inner end of the stability link is rotatably connected to at least one of the first control arm and the vehicle body, and the outer end of the stability link is rotatably connected to at least one of the spring-damper assembly and the knuckle.

    摘要: A suspension assembly is provided for a vehicle including a frame. A lower control arm having first and second opposing portions is pivotally connected to the frame at the first portion. A knuckle is supported on the second portion of the lower control arm with a wheel supported on the knuckle. A strut having a lower end is connected to the knuckle and an upper end of the strut is connected to the frame at an upper connection. The upper connection generally constrains the upper end of the strut against vertical movement while permitting limited lateral movement of the upper end relative to the frame. In one embodiment, a linkage assembly including a first link is operatively connected between the lower control arm and the frame. A second link interconnects the upper end of the strut and the first link portion for moving the upper end laterally in the upper connection in response to vertical movement of the lower control arm. In a second embodiment, an adjustable linkage assembly including a first adjustable linkage is interconnected between the upper end and the frame. A second adjustable linkage is interconnected between the lower control arm and the frame and changes length in response to vertical movement of the lower control arm. A link interconnects the first and second adjustable linkages for communicating the change in length of the second adjustable linkage to the first adjustable linkage for moving the upper end laterally in the upper connection in response to vertical movement of the lower control arm.

    摘要: A multi-link type suspension for a steerable driving wheel includes a wheel carrier having a tie rod for a steering wheel, a pair of upper arms each having one end connected to a vehicle body and the other end connected to said wheel carrier, and a connector for connecting the upper arms to the vehicle body and the wheel carrier. A strut arm is connected to the connector wherein a lower section of the strut arm forks to form two separate ends, and a pair of lower arms are provided each having one end connected to one of the strut arm and the other end connected to the wheel carrier. The suspension is such that an intersecting point of an imaginary line parallel to a line that connects a hinge point where one of the upper arms is mounted on the vehicle body and a connection point of the connector, and an imaginary line orthogonal to a center line of the strut arm becomes an imaginary instantaneous center of the upper arms with respect to the vehicle body.
