Abstract: A method and system for performing electrical impedance imaging of a subject of interest using a plurality of electrodes is provided. The method includes applying one or more determined current patterns to one or more electrodes of the plurality of electrodes. Further, the method includes determining a resultant voltage at at least one electrode of the one or more electrodes in response to the one or more determined current patterns. Moreover, the method includes estimating a change in a contact impedance for the at least one electrode of the one or more electrodes. Additionally, the method includes calculating a compensated voltage for the at least one electrode based on an estimated change in a corresponding contact impedance of the at least one electrode.

Abstract: Systems and methods for examining a route inject one or more electrical examination signals into a conductive route from onboard a vehicle system traveling along the route, detect one or more electrical characteristics of the route based on the one or more electrical examination signals, apply a filter to the one or more electrical characteristics, and detect a break in conductivity of the route responsive to the one or more electrical characteristics decreasing by more than a designated drop threshold for a time period within a designated drop time period. Feature vectors may be determined for the electrical characteristics and compared to one or more patterns in order to distinguish between breaks in the conductivity of the route and other causes for changes in the electrical characteristics.

Abstract: The present approach generally relates to systems and methods for implementing energy modulated tomographic imaging of nanoparticles. In certain embodiments, a first energy is used to activate probe particles labeling an anatomy or tissue of interest. The probe particles, once activated, emit photons at a different rate and/or spectrum in response to an underlying physiological event, such as action potentials propagating in the labeled anatomy or tissue. The emitted photons may then be detected and used to map or image the occurrence of the physiological event.
