摘要: An electric rail system includes a current collector mounted for movement along at least one rail of the electric rail system and a monitoring system for detecting a condition indicative of a problem with the rail system or the current collector. The monitoring system includes a detector having one or more of: a camera configured to record images of a portion of the rail system in front of or behind the current collector, at least one vibration sensor on at least one slip contact of the current collector, an optical spark sensor configured to detect sparks in a contact region between the slip contact and the at least one rail, and at least one distance sensor configured to detect a distance between the at least one distance sensor and the at least one rail.

摘要: The invention relates to a mobile network subscriber (10) for use in a cabled network (1), particularly in a collector wire network of an electric telpher, wherein the cabled network (1) has at least one first segment (S1) and at least one second segment (S2) and wherein the mobile network subscriber (10) has a first slave modem (SM1), a second slave modem (SM2), a first contact arrangement (K1) and a second contact arrangement (K2) in each case. In order to allow a change between two segments of a network in a simple and efficient manner, it is proposed that the slave modems (SM1, SM2) be provided for communication with at least one first master modem (MM1) and/or at least one second master modem (M2) via the contact arrangements (K1, K2) and the segments (S1, S2), wherein the mobile network subscriber (10) is provided for movement along the segments (S1, S2), the contact arrangements (K1, K2) of the mobile network subscriber (10) being arranged such that the change from the first segment (S1) to the second segment (S2) involves at least one of the contact arrangements (K1, K2) being connected to the first segment (S1) and at least one further contact arrangement (K1, K2) being connected to the second segment (S2).

摘要: A land transport vehicle includes a traction motor; a capture device for contact with a power supply segment of an external power supply device and for connection to the traction motor; a communication unit to communicate with ground equipment associated with the power supply segment in a vicinity of which the land transport vehicle is currently traveling; an onboard controller connected to the communication unit; and an onboard power supply device for connection to the traction motor, the onboard controller being adapted to a) regulate the power supplied to the traction motor, b) receive a signal indicating an end of a zone with an external power supply, and c) command, after receiving the signal indicating the end of a zone, a transition from a power demand from the external power supply device toward a power demand from the onboard power supply device to power the traction motor.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for controlling movement of a train including a plurality of locomotives along a route. In one example, the method comprises, generating a first plan profile, the first plan profile including synchronous settings for the locomotives over a route, and generating a second plan profile based on the first plan profile, the second plan profile including independent settings for the locomotives over at least one region within the route. The method may further comprise, operating the locomotives based in the first and/or second plan profiles. In another example, the method comprises, generating a plan profile with fully independent settings for the locomotives over the entire route, the fully independent settings based on cost function coefficients of each locomotive.

摘要: Systems and methods for examining a route inject one or more electrical examination signals into a conductive route from onboard a vehicle system traveling along the route, detect one or more electrical characteristics of the route based on the one or more electrical examination signals, apply a filter to the one or more electrical characteristics, and detect a break in conductivity of the route responsive to the one or more electrical characteristics decreasing by more than a designated drop threshold for a time period within a designated drop time period. Feature vectors may be determined for the electrical characteristics and compared to one or more patterns in order to distinguish between breaks in the conductivity of the route and other causes for changes in the electrical characteristics.

摘要: A railroad vehicle control system governed by a wayside computer has a communications channel for each track section in the territory for periodically exchanging information between said computer and said railroad vehicle wherein the improvement comprises a tachometer means governed by the rate of rotation of the wheels of said vehicle for producing pulses indicative of the actual speed in accordance with said rate of rotation. The computer includes a control stage for calculating speed, and generating desired speed control signal pulses for transmission to the vehicle and a checking stage responsive to said control stage for validating the desired speed signal. A standby stage responsive to the control and checking stages assumes control and checking functions upon failure of either of said stages. A comparator responsive to the control and actual speed pulses increases and decreases the speed of the vehicle until the frequency of the actual speed pulses equals the frequency of desired speed pulses.
