Abstract: A wireless power transfer system is disclosed. The wireless power transfer system includes a first converting unit configured to convert a first DC voltage of an input power to a first AC voltage. Further, the wireless power transfer system includes a contactless power transfer unit configured to receive the input power having the first AC voltage from the first converting unit and transmit the input power. Also, the wireless power transfer system includes a second converting unit configured to receive the input power from the contactless power transfer unit and convert the first AC voltage of the input power to a second DC voltage. Furthermore, the wireless power transfer system includes a switching unit configured to regulate the second DC voltage across the electric load if the second DC voltage across the electric load is greater than a voltage reference value.

Abstract: A method for controlling a voltage source power converter of a renewable energy power conversion system includes providing the voltage source power converter having, at least, a rotor-side converter and a line-side converter. The method also includes generating, via a converter controller, a first set of switching pulses based on a third-harmonic phase opposition carrier-based pulse width modulation (PO_CB_PWM) scheme. Further, the method includes generating, via the converter controller, a second set of switching pulses based on a third-harmonic in phase carrier-based pulse width modulation (IP_CB_PWM) scheme. As such, the method includes implementing, via the converter controller, a pulse-width modulation scheme for the rotor-side and line-side converters using the first and second sets of switching pulses, respectively, to obtain an output voltage from the voltage source converter to a desired magnitude, shape, and/or frequency.

Abstract: A control device (110) includes a first multiplexing unit (202) configured to segregate a first PWM signal having a first switching frequency into a second PWM signal having a second switching frequency and a third PWM signal having a third switching frequency. Also, the control device (110) includes an integrator unit (204) configured to generate a first integrated signal and a second integrated signal based on the second PWM signal and the third PWM signal, and a modulator unit (206) configured to receive the first integrated signal and the second integrated signal and generate a modulation signal based on the first integrated signal and the second integrated signal. Furthermore, the control device (110) includes a generator unit (208) configured to receive the modulation signal and generate a fourth PWM signal having a fourth switching frequency different from the first switching frequency based on the modulation signal.

Abstract: A method for operating a power system connected to a power grid includes providing an active filter in the converter power path. Further, the method includes determining a change in attenuation of harmonics of the power system over a predetermined frequency spectrum that is needed to comply with one or more grid code requirements of the power grid. Thus, the method includes actively controlling, via a controller, the active filter to provide the change to the attenuation of the harmonics of the power system so as to mitigate the harmonics of the power system.
