摘要: A lithium polymer (LiPo) battery pack having LiPo battery cells is provided which includes battery protection circuitry, charging circuitry, cell balancing circuitry, and control and communication circuitry. The batteries can be charged while in use by an internal charger. Battery charging and discharging are accomplished in a controlled and protected manner to avoid overcharging and overdischarging conditions. The novel battery pack has built-in safeguards against dangerous LiPo battery conditions and is implemented in a small, portable unit which contains the battery cells, control and protection circuitry, internal charger and display gauge. The battery pack is useful for powering an intravenous fluid warmer or other medical or electrical devices and equipment.

摘要: A medical pump that provides advance guidance to a user regarding existence and limits of a valid input range for a pump programming parameter includes an input device for entering a value of a pump programming parameter, a memory for storing constraints related to the pump programming parameter, and a processor in communication with the memory and the input device. The processor dynamically utilizes the constraints to determine and generate a signal indicating whether a valid input range exists for a to-be-entered value of the pump programming parameter and notifies the user.

摘要: A battery charger box for holding a pair of generally rectangular battery chargers therein. The box includes a container with a bottom panel and a perimeter side wall upwardly extending around the bottom panel of the container. A lid substantially covers a top opening into the container and is pivotally coupled to the perimeter side wall. The perimeter side wall has a generally oblong cord spool outwardly extending therefrom. The cord spool has an input receptacle for receiving an end of an electrical cord connected to a power supply. A pair of output receptacles are provided in the interior of the container and are electrically connected to the input receptacle for electrically connecting a pair of battery chargers in the container to the power supply. The perimeter side wall has a plurality of notches adjacent the upper edge of the perimeter side wall for extending the connecting cables of a battery charger in the interior space of the container therethrough.

摘要: A goaltender training device provides a screen representative of a goal opening and an image capture device to detect a goaltender against the screen. The training device provides visual indicators of goal coverage and records goaltender stance and position relative to the screen to provide training feedback. The training device can provide a light source directed at the screen to enhance image capture and simplify image analysis. The image capture device defines a reference screen in memory to compare against obstructions of the screen during a training exercise. Particular points on the reference screen are identified for coverage by the goaltender during training, and coverage status of the points may be indicated with the visual indicators. Sequences of images can be analyzed for a particular parameter, such as percentage of the screen covered, and downloaded to other devices for review and analysis.

摘要: A system for monitoring an anatomical condition of a patient is provided. One embodiment of the system includes an electronic monitoring device for monitoring the anatomical condition (e.g., cardiac function) of the patient and for generating an electrical signal indicative of that monitored condition. The system converts the electrical signal into an optical signal that is indicative of the monitored condition, and supplies the optical signal via a fiber optic link to a remote location for processing. The system also supplies to the electronic monitoring device another optical signal via another fiber optic link. The other optical signal is for use both in controlling operation of and powering the electronic monitoring device.
