Abstract: A system and method for controlling lighting systems and predicting a life expectancy of a plurality of lighting devices are disclosed. The system may include at least one gateway that controls dimming levels of the lighting devices, and at least one of a plurality of luminaires and LEDs that communicates with the gateway via a dimming control interface. The system may further include a sensor subsystem that senses color channels and monitors at least one change in environment in real time, and at least one power meter that measures power in real time, each of which is connected to the gateway. At least one server may be connected to the gateway, and may calculate and predict lumen depreciation of the luminaires and LEDs, and reporting and changing display information associated with the luminaires and LEDs.

The luminaires may be Light Emitting Diode (LED)-based luminaires which are part of a smart illumination system. In certain exemplary embodiments, the disclosure includes a smart gateway device which is configured to control operation of a luminaire and is connected to a server, such as cloud server, over wired and/or wireless communication channels. The exemplary devices, systems, and methods adjust and maintain a color temperature of the luminaire according to desired or required specifications.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, a sensor board may be used with a luminaire. The sensor board may include an environment sensor disposed on a first side of the sensor board to function in a first direction and a color sensor disposed on a second side of the sensor board to function in a second direction. The environment sensor may include an adjustable lens assembly. The environment sensor and the color sensor may be oriented 180° apart from each on the sensor board and the first direction may be oriented 180° apart from the second direction.
