Abstract: An actuator release mechanism comprising a longitudinal member, e.g. a piston, which is moveable axially to permit or prevent axial movement of the lock bolt and hence deployment of the actuator. Movement of the piston is due to the force of the lock bolt, under a spring force, on the one hand, and to the position and force of a linkage assembly on the other hand. The linkage assembly comprises a first link fixed, at one end, e.g. by means of a piston lock pin, to the piston and fixed at a pivot point to a second link. The second link is fixed to a rotational drive means, here a rotary solenoid or stepper motor, so as to rotate about a centre of rotation.

Abstract: A heat exchanger extends between a first end and a second end and includes: a central core; and a heat exchange section; wherein the heat exchange section comprises: a primary flow inlet; a secondary flow inlet; a primary flow outlet; a secondary flow outlet; a plurality of primary flow tubes for conveying a primary flow from the primary flow inlet to the primary flow outlet; and a plurality of secondary flow tubes for conveying a secondary flow from the secondary flow inlet to the secondary flow outlet. The primary flow tubes and the secondary flow tubes are grouped together to form at least one strand; and wherein the at least one strand is helically wrapped around the central core.

Abstract: A plate fin heat exchanger comprises a circular section tubular shell. The shell comprises a plurality of first shell openings arranged along a length of the shell and a plurality of second shell openings arranged along a length of the shell. A first fluid plenum is provided on the shell in fluid communication with the first shell openings. A second fluid plenum is provided on the shell in fluid communication with the second shell openings. The heat exchanger further comprises a core extending axially within the tubular shell. The core comprises an axially extending first core passage and a second axially extending core passage isolated from the first core passage.
