摘要: A heat exchanger includes a shell and a plurality of tubes. The shell includes a heat exchange region in which a second refrigerant is to be introduced into the shell, so that a heat exchange occurs between the second refrigerant and a first refrigerant which flows through the plurality of tubes. The shell includes an inlet region through which the first refrigerant is introduced into the shell, a reverse region into which the first refrigerant is introduced, after the first refrigerant passes through the heat exchange region, and an outlet region into which the first refrigerant is introduced, after the first refrigerant passes through the reverse region and the heat exchange region, the first refrigerant being discharged out of the shell from the outlet region. The shell includes partition plates to divide the heat exchange region, the inlet region, the reverse region, and the outlet region.

摘要: A cooling device for reducing the temperature of cooked warm food in a liquid or paste-like state held in a container, in particular in a standard trolley, is provided. The cooling device includes a plate-like covering member which covers the opening cross-section of the container or of the standard trolley, wherein the covering member has vertically arranged cooling elements on the lower face thereof, which cooling elements, when the cooling device is attached and lowered, are immersed in the density of the food and a cooling medium circulates through the cooling elements, which cooling medium extracts the stored heat from the food. A stripping plate designed as a perforated sheet or as a perforated plate is provided on the lower face of the covering member, which stripping plate removes remaining food from the cooling elements during withdrawal of the cooling device.

摘要: A heat transfer medium supply system includes valve units each alternately supplying a first and a second heat transfer medium to a corresponding zone of a stage. The valve unit includes a housing and a shaft. The housing has first and second inlets, and first and second outlets. The first and second inlets are respectively connected to a first and a second medium temperature controller. The first and second outlets are connected to the corresponding zone. The shaft is inserted in the housing and has first and second supply grooves. The first supply groove connects the first inlet to the first outlet when a rotation angle about a central axis of the shaft is within a first angle range, and the second supply groove connects the second inlet to the second outlet when the rotation angle about the central axis of the shaft is within a second angle range.

摘要: Disclosed is a technology based upon the nesting of tubes to provide chemical reactors or chemical reactors with built in heat exchanger. As a chemical reactor, the technology provides the ability to manage the temperature within a process flow for improved performance, control the location of reactions for corrosion control, or implement multiple process steps within the same piece of equipment. As a chemical reactor with built in heat exchanger, the technology can provide large surface areas per unit volume and large heat transfer coefficients. The technology can recover the thermal energy from the product flow to heat the reactant flow to the reactant temperature, significantly reducing the energy needs for accomplishment of a process.

摘要: A heat exchanger for transferring heat between two fluids with different temperature includes a first heat exchange element having at least one core extending longitudinally through the heat exchange element. The at least one core defines a core cavity that is configured with an inlet port and an outlet port to receive a first fluid flowing therethrough. The heat exchange element includes ribs extending continuously substantially in parallel with the at least one core along the whole length of the core. The ribs extend radially outwardly from the core and are exposed to contact with a second fluid that flows along said ribs. Each rib is divided into at least two radially extending fins at a radial distance from the core. Each fin extends to a proximity of an outer casing surrounding the first heat exchanger element or a proximity of fins of an adjacent heat exchanger element.

摘要: A process and apparatus for cooling catalyst in a catalyst cooler is disclosed. Nested tubes in the catalyst cooler have an undulating wall for improving heat transfer from the catalyst bed across the wall to the water inside the tubes. The outer tubes have an end wall at an inlet end opposed to an outlet end of a respective inner tube. The helical wall improves the efficiency of heat transfer to increase cooler duty for heavy feed stocks.
