摘要： A method for performing communication between a base station and a mobile station through a designated channel is disclosed. The method comprises transmitting an access parameter message including fields indicating preamble duration and slot duration having a length of a multiple of given slot duration from the base station to the mobile station, the base station previously knowing each start time point of the slots having the multiple slot duration; transmitting a control message including fields indicating a designated channel number and a data rate from the base station to the mobile station over a common channel; receiving, in the mobile station, the control message and transmitting to the base station an access probe including a preamble having the preamble duration and a succeeding response message beginning at one of the start time points of the slots having the multiple slot duration at the data rate through a designated channel associated with the designated channel number in the control message; and determining in the base station whether the preamble of the access probe is received, beginning at each start time point of the slots having the multiple slot duration.

摘要： A power control device for a CDMA communication system using different kinds of spreading codes. In the power control device for a base station device, a first channel generator generates a first channel signal by spreading first input data with an orthogonal code and a second channel generator generates a second channel signal by spreading second input data with a quasi-orthogonal code. The second channel signal has a gain higher than that of the first channel signal. A first gain controller controls power of the first channel signal and a second gain controller controls power of the second channel signal. An adder adds the first channel signal to the second channel signal, and a spreader spreads a signal output from the adder with a pseudo-random noise (PN) code. The base station transmits a response request message to a mobile station via the second channel, and retransmits the response request message after increasing a transmission power of the second channel when a response message is not received from the mobile station.

In accordance with the method of the present invention, a mobile station (MS) sends a common channel message with a request for designation of a channel for transmission of a consecutive common channel message, and a base station (BS) sends a response message indicating an available channel ID for use by the MS, when one is available. If a channel ID is available, the MS sends the next message on a channel designated with the assigned channel ID.

In a base station of the common channel message communicating device, a control message generator generates a control message including information representative of a spreading code for spreading a reverse common channel message, and a forward common channel transmitter transmits the control message on a forward common channel. In a mobile station, a control message analyser analyses information representative of an assigned spreading code included in the control message received on the forward common channel, a spreading code generator generates a spreading code based on the spreading code information, and a channel transmitter spreads the reverse common channel message by the spreading code and transmits the spread reverse common channel message.

摘要： A device and method for communicating a common channel message in a CDMA communication system. The device comprises a base station transmitter and a common channel transmitter. The base station transmitter includes a specific channel transmitter for outputting a channel signal at a second transmission power level for a predetermined time duration and otherwise outputting the channel signal at a first transmission power level. The common channel transmitter transmits a common channel message at an assigned slot duration. A power supply voltage is provided to the receiver of the mobile station for the predetermined time duration and the assigned slot duration to enable the receiver. The power supply voltage to the receiver is otherwise disengaged from the power supply so as to allow the receiver to operate in a sleep mode.

摘要： An apparatus and a method for a cluster-based power control at a macro base station in a wireless communication system are provided. The method includes broadcasting an interference allowance value determined based on a predefined aggregate interference to a femto cell, updating the interference allowance value with consideration of a channel activity for each femto cell group on a cluster basis, and when detecting a change in an aggregate interference generated due to femto cell power allocation, repeating determination of an interference allowance value so that a Quality of Service (QoS) of a macro cell user is met, and broadcasting the interference allowance value to a femto cell.
