Abstract: In one or more examples, a method uses a system including data server, a processing circuit, and a data-communications server, with the server being used to route calls in the form of data communications to and from a plurality of telecommunication devices associated with respective user accounts. The server may store data generated by the plurality of telecommunication devices on the data server. The user accounts each have a settings file associated with the user account. In response to a set of criteria indicated in the settings file of one of the user accounts being satisfied, the processing circuit logs into a data server remote to the server may use login credentials included in the settings file. In further response to the set of criteria being satisfied, the processing circuit may copy one or more data files associated with the user account from the data server to the remote data server.

Abstract: Methods and devices for enabling and disabling applications using voice are described herein. In some embodiments, an individual speak an utterance to their electronic device, which may send audio data representing the utterance to a backend system. The backend system may generate text data representing the utterance, and may determine that an intent of the utterance was for an application to be enabled or disabled for their user account on the backend system. If, for instance, the intent was to enable the application, the backend system may receive one or more rules for performing functionalities of the application, as well as one or more sample templates of sample utterances and sample responses that future utterances may use when requesting the application. Furthermore, one or more invocation phrases that may be used within the future utterances to invoke the application may be received, along with slot values for the sample templates.

The data backup application records a history of all user actions performed with mobile device data. If the data is affected—it is backed up on a cloud. This works best within a framework of a continuous backup. A user can undo any of his destructive actions and the backup application can restore the affected data from the cloud storage. A history list serves as a filter to user data already located on the cloud.

Abstract: A method and system for updating physical location data associated with a VoIP endpoint device is implemented in a variety of embodiments. In one such embodiment, a VoIP endpoint device stores an identifier for a packet-communicating device which is subject to changing. The VoIP endpoint device has an interface for communication over the Internet via the packet-communicating device and uses a circuit-implemented method for prompting a VoIP user to update physical location data associated with the VoIP endpoint device. In response to a power state transition and a change in the stored identifier, the VoIP endpoint device facilitates an update to the physical location data associated with the VoIP service.
