    摘要: Disclosed is a method for producing a thermoplastic resin film, which comprises oxidizing the surface of a thermoplastic resin film (i) that contains an unsaturated carboxylic acid-modified polyolefin-based resin, then applying a surface modifier thereto, and stretching it. According to the method, thermoplastic resin films can be produced that have good adhesiveness between the film substrate and the coating layer thereof and have good printability and electrostatic resistance.

    摘要: The invention provides a porous resin film having a good absorption of water content as a solvent for aqueous ink or aqueous paste and a recording medium comprising the porous resin film. The recording medium is characterized by the capability of absorbing an ink without density unevenness even during ink jet recording if the ejected amount of ink is great. The invention lies in a porous resin film comprising: a thermoplastic resin in an amount of 30 to 90% by weight; and an inorganic and/or organic finely divided powder in an amount of 10 to 70% by weight, wherein the inorganic and/or organic finely divided powder is surface-treated with a surface treating agent (A) made of a copolymer of diallylamine salt or alkyl diallylamine salt (a1) with a nonionic hydrophilic vinyl monomer (a2) and an anionic surface treating agent (B), and the porous resin film has a liquid absorption capacity of not smaller than 0.5 ml/m2 as measured by “Japan TAPPI No. 51-87”.

    摘要: A process for producing a highly water-absorptive polymer, which comprises suspending an aqueous solution containing a water-soluble polymerizable monomer and an optional crosslinking agent into droplets in a hydrophobic organic solvent in the presence of a dispersant and a water-soluble radical polymerization initiator, and allowing the water-soluble polymerizable monomer to polymerize in the droplets, wherein the dispersant is a phosphoric ester surface active agent represented by the following general formula [I]: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents an alkyl or alkylaryl group having 8 to 30 carbon atoms, R.sup.2 represents OH group or a group of the formula --(CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 O).sub.m --OR.sup.1, and m and n are an integer of 1 to 30, andthe aqueous solution is successively fed to the hydrophobic organic solvent so that the droplets of different polymerization degrees can be present in the solvent.

    摘要: The present invention provides less expensive ink jet recording papers having high glossiness and high durability and being capable of quickly absorbing inks without causing bleeding. Accordingly, the present invention provides an ink jet recording paper having an ink-receiving layer provided on a porous resin film, wherein the porous resin film has a liquid absorption capacity measured in accordance with “Japan TAPPI No.51-87” of 0.5 ml/m2 or above and the ink-receiving layer has a surface glossiness (JIS-Z8741: measuring method at 60°) of 40% or above. It is preferable that the ink jet recording paper contains at least one member selected from among alumina, alumina hydrate and amorphous silica in the ink-receiving layer.

    摘要: Disclosed is a method of surface treatment of a thermoplastic resin film (i) which comprises the steps of subjecting the thermoplastic resin film (i) to surface oxidation, coating the oxidized film with a surface modifier (A) and then stretching the coated film, and which is characterized in that: the surface modifier (A) is an aqueous dispersion prepared by dispersing an olefin copolymer (a) with an unsaturated carboxylic acid or its anhydride bonded thereto in water along with at least one dispersant (b) selected from the group consisting of nonionic surfactants, nonionic water-soluble polymers, cationic surfactants and cationic water-soluble polymers; the ratio by weight of (a)/(b) in terms of the solid content thereof falls between 100/1 and 100/30; and the mean particle size of the resin in the surface modifier (A) is at most 5 μm. The method can provide a thermoplastic resin film of good melt thermal transfer printability and good offset printability capable of giving prints of good water resistance.

    摘要: A method of preparing a water-soluble resin, which comprises the steps of: subjecting an aqueous solution of a first water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer to a first-stage water-in-oil type of reverse-phase suspension polymerization using a water-soluble radical polymerization initiator in a hydrophobic organic solvent in the presence of an emulsifier and optionally a crosslinking agent, thereby forming a slurry containing hydrous polymer gel particles; adding to said slurry a nonionic or anionic surface active agent having an HLB of at least 7 and higher than that of said emulsifier and an aqueous solution of a second water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer so as to absorb the aqueous solution of the second monomer in said hydrous polymer gel particles; and carrying out a second-stage polymerization of said second monomer.
