    Abstract: A coin discrimination apparatus discriminates authenticity and a denomination of a coin by oscillation magnetic fields of high and low frequencies in a low frequency band in which generated magnetic fluxes allow a coin to pass therethrough. A first oscillation coil for generating an oscillation magnetic field of a low frequency and a reception coil are arranged at coin contact and coin non-contact surfaces, respectively, of an inclined coin path to face each other. A second oscillation coil is arranged on the coin non-contact surface to be separated from the reception coil by a predetermined distance in a coin rolling direction and generates an oscillation magnetic field of a high frequency. The coin discrimination apparatus includes a first sensor circuit for detecting maximum values of changes in impedances of the oscillation coils and the reception coil upon passage of a coin, a second sensor circuit for detecting the changes in impedances when the changes in impedances of the first and second oscillation coils coincide with each other, and a CPU for discriminating authenticity and the denomination of the coin based on coin physical characteristics in accordance with the detection results from the sensor circuits.

    Abstract: A training device including a slide projector and a magnetic audio reproducing device is disclosed. The projector is provided with a code reader for reading a code on a film for each image frame. The code indicates the address number of the frame and the information contained in the frame. The training device includes an operating circuit connected with the code reader for addressing the various image frames. A group of switches operated by a student is connected in the operating circuit to provide an answer signal and a frame address number-signal to the operating circuit. A controller circuit is connected with the operating circuit and responsive to a signal from the operating circuit to operate a film drive circuit. The operating circuit controls the film drive circuit through the controller circuitry for selecting and bringing an appropriate subsequent frame of the film to the projection station depending on which of the group of switches is operated by the student.

    Abstract: A bicycle battery holder is basically provided with a battery holder body, an operating member and a battery engaging member. The battery holder body includes a contact portion. The operating member is movably mounted to the battery holder body between a first position and a second position. The battery engaging member is pivotally coupled to the operating member on an axle such that the battery engaging member moves in a first direction with respect to the battery holder body to a battery retaining position as the operating member moves from the first position to the second position.
