    Abstract: A winding switching device switches parallel and series connections of windings of a rotating electric machine, and includes a plurality of electrodes that are connected to the windings and a power source, a movable portion in contact with the plurality of electrodes and includes a plurality of conductor portions, and an actuator that drives the movable portion. According to a contact state between the plurality of electrodes and the plurality of conductor portions, the windings are connected in parallel at a first position of the movable portion, and are connected in series at a second position of the movable portion. The electrodes include a first electrode connected to a first phase winding of the rotating electric machine in the plurality of windings, and a second electrode connected to a second phase winding. The first electrode and the second electrode are adjacent to each other, and form a neutral point.

    Abstract: This invention provides an in-wheel motor capable of increasing steering operability and ride comfort of a vehicle. A stator 21 of an in-wheel motor 20 comprises a stator housing 21a and a stator housing cover 21b. The stator housing 21a is formed of a tubular-shaped housing annular portion 21a1, a housing flat-plate portion 21a2, a fold-back portion 21a3, and a flange portion 21a4. In the stator housing 21a, a housing recessed portion 211 is formed of the housing flat-plate portion 21a2 and the fold-back portion 21a3. The housing recessed portion 211 is provided with a hub bearing mounting portion 216 on which a hub bearing 26 is mounted. The stator housing cover 21b is provided with an upper arm attachment portion 217 and a lower arm attachment portion 218 for attaching an upper arm 31 and a lower arm 32 of a suspension device 30.

    Abstract: The present invention addresses the problem of providing a winding for an electromagnetic component, a stator for a rotary electric machine, a rotary electric machine, and a wheel, which can simplify an assembly step while improving joint quality of a coil end. This winding for electromagnetic components comprises a first conductor (3) and a second conductor (4) electrically connected to the first conductor (3). The first conductor (3) and the second conductor (4) are fixed inside an electromagnetic component. At least one among the first conductor (3) and the second conductor (4) has a bent section (10). The first conductor (3) is pressed against and makes close contact with the second conductor (4) by a restoring force (12) due to residual stress of the bent section (10).

    Abstract: A rotating electric machine , and an electric wheel using the rotating electric machine, has a rotatably supported rotor and a stator separated by a prescribed gap from the rotor, wherein the rotor has a magnetic pole ring formed from a circular permanent magnet, and a core piece embedded in the permanent magnet. The magnetic pole ring has outer and inner peripheral surfaces formed in a ring shape, wherein one of the outer peripheral surface and the inner peripheral surface is a gap-facing surface that faces the aforementioned gap, and the other is a non-gap-facing surface different from the gap-facing surface. The non-gap-facing surface of the magnetic pole ring is configured from the permanent magnet, the gap-facing surface of the magnetic pole ring is configured containing the permanent magnet and the exposed core piece, and the permanent magnet is magnetized such that the core piece is the magnetic center.

    Abstract: A rotary machine driving system includes: a rotary machine including a plurality of coils; an inverter device configured to operate the rotary machine at a variable speed, including a control device for controlling power conversion by an inverter circuit, and a coil switching device for switching a connection of the coils according to the control device. The control device commands the coil switching device to switch the connection of the coils when rotation of the rotary machine transitions between a low-speed rotation range and a high-speed rotation range due to acceleration and deceleration. A starting end and a terminal end of at least one set of coils per phase of the rotary machine are drawn out in a freely connectable state. The coil switching device includes at least one movable portion driven by one actuator.
