    摘要: The invention provides a television meeting unit that is capable of displaying a picture smoothly on a middle participation terminal. To realize such television meeting unit, the multicast meeting unit is provided with a picture coding means for coding an input picture, a picture transmission means for transmitting the coded picture by mean of multicast, a picture receiving means for receiving the transmitted coded picture, a picture decoding means for decoding the received picture, a picture display means for displaying the decoded picture, a middle participation notice means for notifying middle participation in a meeting, and a middle participation terminal detection means for detecting the middle participation notice and for transmitting it to the picture coding means. The picture coding means, upon receiving the middle participation notice from the middle participation terminal detection means, changes the coding format to the in-frame coding format.

    摘要: A joystick input device includes a casing having a tiltable-component supporter, a tiltable component held in the tiltable-component supporter, tilt-detecting means for detecting a state of tilting of the tiltable component, a pushable component held in the tiltable component, push-detecting means for detecting a state of pushing of the pushable component, and an operation component for performing a tilt operation of the tiltable component and a push operation of the pushable component. The tiltable-component supporter has a pushable-component through-hole through which the leading edge of the pushable component can pass. The tiltable-component supporter regulates a tilt operation of the tiltable component when the leading edge of the pushable component passes through the pushable-component through-hole. A pushable-component stopping portion is formed around the pushable-component through-hole to regulate a push operation of the pushable component when the tiltable component is tilted.

    摘要: A colored metal sheet useful as a decorative member, a multi-colored signboard, etc. is provided by transfer-printing a topcoat or clear paint layer 4 formed on a substrate metal sheet 1 with a sublimation dye. A basecoat paint layer 2 and a primer paint layer 3 may be formed between the substrate metal sheet 1 and the paint layer 4. A sublimation dye penetrates into the paint layer 4 to form colored parts 5 extending along thickness direction of the paint layer 4. Glass flakes 6 (of 8 &mgr;m or less in thickness and 10-70 &mgr;m in length) and calcium silicate (of 1-8 &mgr;m in primary particle size) may be dispersed in the paint layer 4, to improve slippage-proof property and wear-resistance. Powdery silica (of 0.5-8 &mgr;m in particle size) may be dispersed in the paint layer 4, to improve anti-scratching property and wear-resistance. Light-resistance of the paint layer 4 is improved by using a topcoat or clear paint mainly composed of a melamine-containing thermosetting polyester resin having number average molecular weight of 1000-10000 and a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 20-60° C.

    摘要: A recording and reproducing apparatus and method which prevents or managing a data loss caused by each of seek operations in recording/reproducing a time-series digital data set, to/from a disk recording media via a buffer. Beforerecording/reproducing, a check is made, by using a rate of data transfer with the outside, a data transfer rate in an access to a track where each of the selected sectors lies, and a seek time for each of changes in tracks, to see if the buffer will overflow/underflow during the period of recording/reproducing. If so, then an input/output data transfer rate is reduced before recording/reproducing to make the check. In case of recording, if there is at least a substitute for a sector which will cause the overflow, the sector is changed to a substitute.

    摘要: In order to reduce a space required to install a facsimile apparatus and to facilitate the change of recording sheet, a recording sheet discharge tray forms a part of a body of the apparatus so that outward projection of the discharge tray from the apparatus body is prevented. Since a document cover serves as a tray for receiving discharged document and a document sheet supply tray is disposed on it, the projection of the document sheet supply tray from the apparatus body can be prevented. Since the recording sheet cassette can be drawn out from a front side of the apparatus body, the operation of supplying or adding the cut sheets can be performed from the front side of the apparatus body, and therefore a user need not move to the side portion of the apparatus body. Since one line sensor of an image reading portion can read both a document placed on an image reading surface and a document from the document sheet supply tray, the structure of the apparatus can be simplified.
