    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to the field of mobile communications technologies, and disclose a timing advance adjustment method and device, so as to implement precise timing synchronization between user equipments. The method includes: acquiring, by a base station, timing information determined by first user equipment, where the timing information is used to identify a timing relationship between the first user equipment and second user equipment; acquiring a TA command according to the timing information, where the TA command is used to adjust a signal sending time of a TA command receive end, where the TA command receive end is the first user equipment and/or the second user equipment; and sending the TA command to the TA command receive end.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a measurement method, user equipment, a base station, and a wireless communications system, where the method includes: determining, according to transmit bandwidth and transmit time of a new carrier type cell-specific reference signal in a cell of the first base station and the transmit bandwidth and the transmit time of the new carrier type cell-specific reference signal in the cell of the second base station, measurement bandwidth and measurement time corresponding to a cell in which user equipment is located; and transmitting measurement configuration information including the measurement bandwidth and the measurement time to the user equipment. The first base station may acquire the transmit bandwidth and the transmit time, and deliver, to UE, measurement configuration information including two pieces of information, namely, measurement bandwidth and measurement time. Therefore, a solution for performing effective measurement in a new carrier type is provided.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a carrier selection method for positioning measurement, which is applied to positioning measurement in a carrier aggregation scenario. The method includes: obtaining information about carriers supported by each base station participating in positioning; obtaining carriers supported by a terminal and quality information of each carrier; and selecting an optimal carrier supported by each base station from the carriers supported by the terminal, so that the terminal performs positioning measurement according to the optimal carrier. The present invention also provides a positioning measurement method, a positioning processing apparatus, and a terminal. By using the above solution, positioning measurement of terminal is implemented in a carrier aggregation scenario. Moreover, because an optimal carrier of each base station is selected for the terminal to perform positioning measurement, the accuracy of positioning measurement is improved, and thereby the accuracy of positioning is improved.
