    Abstract: A communication method in a wireless local area network and a communication apparatus are provided. The method includes an access point generating a trigger frame, and sending the trigger frame to a station. The trigger frame includes resource allocation information and first indication information. The first indication information indicates a first bandwidth to the station, and the resource allocation information indicates a first distributed resource unit (RU) that is allocated to the station and that corresponds to the first bandwidth. The first bandwidth is a bandwidth of at least one sub-channel occupied by subcarriers included in the first distributed RU. According to the method, the station may determine a distributed bandwidth range of an allocated RU, for example, in a maximum bandwidth supported by the station, or in a bandwidth outside a punctured bandwidth, to increase a transmit power of the station.

    Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a measurement method, an apparatus, and a device. The embodiments may be applied to wireless local area network systems of the 802.11 series protocols such as 802.11be, Wi-Fi 7, EHT, Wi-Fi 8, 802.11bf, and sensing. The embodiments provide an approach of generating, by a first device, a sensing measurement setup request frame that includes first ranging indication information used to request a second device to perform ranging measurement in a sensing measurement process. The approach then sends, by the first device, the sensing measurement setup request frame to the second device.

    Abstract: This application provides a communication method and a communication apparatus. In this method, a sensing receive device sends first information to a sensing transmit device in advance, to use the first information to indicate a padding requirement of the sensing receive device for a trigger frame. The padding requirement is for sensing. The sensing transmit device sends the trigger frame having a padding bit for sensing to the sensing receive device. The padding bit is determined based on the padding requirement indicated by the first information. Therefore, the trigger frame sent by the sensing transmit device satisfies the padding requirement of the sensing receive device for the trigger frame.

    Abstract: This application provides a resource unit indication method, an access point, and a station. In the method, a resource unit allocation subfield in a trigger frame includes a frequency band range indication and a resource unit indication. The resource unit indication is used to indicate an MRU allocated to a station. The frequency band range indication is used to indicate a frequency band range in which an RU in the MRU is located. For example, the frequency band range indication is used to indicate 80 MHz in which a smallest RU in the MRU is located. In this way, the frequency band range indication indicates a frequency band range related to the MRU, and can further carry more information, for example, the frequency band range in which the smallest RU is located. It may be learned that this application may be applied to 802.11ax, 802.11be, and a future Wi-Fi system.

    Abstract: This application provides data transmission methods and apparatuses, to introduce a buffer status report (BSR) mechanism through multi-link (ML) cooperation, to improve performance of scheduling a station by an ML device. In an example method, a multi-link transmit end determines BSR signaling sent to a multi-link receive end, where the BSR signaling can enable the multi-link receive end to schedule a station of the multi-link transmit end over one or more links. Further, the multi-link transmit end sends the B SR signaling to the multi-link transmit end over the one or more links. This introduces a BSR mechanism through ML cooperation.
