Abstract: A communication method includes a first IAB node receives a first message from a CU of an IAB donor, where the first message indicates the first IAB node to be handed over from a first parent node to a second parent node, and the first message includes a first IP address of the first IAB node. The first IAB node determines first transport network layer association information between the first IAB node and the CU of the IAB donor based on the first IP address. The first IAB node updates control plane context information of an F1 interface by using the first transport network layer association information, where the F1 interface is an interface between the first IAB node and CU of the IAB donor. An IAB node communicates with a CU of an IAB donor by using a first IP address as soon as possible after handover is completed.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose a configuration method. A donor CU may configure a mapping rule of a data packet in advance, and then send the mapping rule to a donor DU. The donor DU maps, based on the mapping rule, a subsequently received data packet to a corresponding RLC channel for transmission. In a method in the embodiments of this application, the donor DU may configure mapping rules of two mapping processes for the donor CU. In the 1st mapping process, one or more mapping fields are first determined based on a value of one or more fields (where these fields are referred to as reference fields below for ease of description) in the data packet. In the 2nd mapping process, the RLC channel is determined based on a value of the one or more mapping fields.

Abstract: A wireless backhaul method, including: a wireless backhaul device generates a first F1AP message, maps the first F1AP message to a signaling-plane bearer of an LTE Uu interface, and sends the first F1AP message to a primary base station of the wireless backhaul device via the signaling-plane bearer of the LTE Uu interface. The primary base station obtains the first F1AP message via the signaling-plane bearer of the LTE Uu interface, encapsulates the first F1AP message into a first X2AP message, and sends the first X2AP message to a secondary base station of the wireless backhaul device. The secondary base station receives the first X2AP message and obtains the first F1AP message based on the first X2AP message.

Abstract: Data transmission methods and apparatuses for wireless backhaul networks are described. A wireless backhaul node determines one or more reporting nodes for a data volume of a first-type data packet from a plurality of next-hop nodes of the wireless backhaul node on an uplink based on the data volume of the first-type data packet, a data volume of a second-type data packet, and a data volume of a third-type data packet. The wireless backhaul node sends, to the one or more reporting nodes, a buffer status report used to indicate the data volume of the first-type data packet. At least one of the first-type data packet, the second-type data packet, and the third-type data packet includes a data packet from an adaptation layer entity of the wireless backhaul node and/or a data packet from a radio link control layer entity of the wireless backhaul node.
