Abstract: Optical wireless communication techniques are described and claimed. In one embodiment, the disclosure relates to method and apparatus to provide optical signaling with visible light having variable pulse position modulation (VPPM). The optical signal includes a Start Frame Delimiter (SFD) which indicates beginning of an asynchronous optical signaling. The VPPM signaling includes a lower frequency time varying amplitude component that when subsampled by a low frame rate camera results in alias induced flicker or blinking. Such signals are quickly recognizable as signals with modulated data. In another embodiment, the disclosure provides a system, device and method for decoding a Start Frame Delimiter (SFD) to indicate arrival of incoming VPPM optical data.

Abstract: Example systems, apparatus, articles of manufacture, and methods to model volumetric representations of objects in scenes are disclosed. Example apparatus disclosed herein are to form a set of polycells from image data of a scene, a first one of the polycells based on an intersection of (a) a first polytope representative of at least a portion of a first view frustrum corresponding to a first camera, and (b) a second polytope representative of at least a portion of a second view frustrum corresponding to a second camera. Disclosed example apparatus is also to determine a probability that the first one of the polycells is at least partially within an object in the scene, and based on comparison of the probability to a threshold, remove the first one of the polycells from the set of polycells to determine an updated set of polycells that model the object.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to wireless time sensitive networking. A device may identify, using an 802.3 protocol stack, an 802.3 frame received from a second device using a wired Ethernet connection, and extract, using the 802.3 protocol stack, a redundancy tag from the 802.3 frame, the redundancy tag including a sequence number. The device may generate, using an 802.11 protocol stack, an 802.11 frame with a subnetwork access protocol (SNAP) field, the SNAP field including an organizationally unique identifier (OUI) and the sequence number, the OUI including an indication of an Ethertype protocol. The device may send the 802.11 frame using a wireless connection.

Abstract: An access point (AP) may be configured by processing circuitry to operate as a coordinator AP for performing BSS channel level coordination. The coordinator AP is configured to assign non-overlapping channels to one or more coordinated APs of overlapping BSSs to schedule time-sensitive traffic to help ensure bounded latency, jitter and reliability per BSS. In some embodiments, the AP may be configured for performing transmission level coordination and may initiate a coordinated transmission opportunity (TXOP) for resource assignment to control contention access among managed BSSs. To perform the BSS channel level coordination, the coordinator AP is configured to encode a multi-AP trigger frame (M-TF) to initiate the coordinated TXOP. The M-TF may be encoded to include a time-sensitive operation IE indicating how each STA is to access the channel within the coordinated TXOP.
