Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to low latency preemption. A device may divide a first PPDU into a plurality of segmented PPDUs. The device may insert a plurality of time gaps between the plurality of segmented PPDUs, wherein the plurality of time gaps enable preemptive opportunities by a low latency transmitter. The device may identify a preemption request from a low latency transmitter of the one or more station devices during a first time gap between a first segmented PPDU and a second segmented PPDU. The device may preempt the second segmented PPDU based on a preemption bit in order to allow the low latency transmitter to transmit its low latency data.

Abstract: An access point (AP) may be configured by processing circuitry to operate as a coordinator AP for performing BSS channel level coordination. The coordinator AP is configured to assign non-overlapping channels to one or more coordinated APs of overlapping BSSs to schedule time-sensitive traffic to help ensure bounded latency, jitter and reliability per BSS. In some embodiments, the AP may be configured for performing transmission level coordination and may initiate a coordinated transmission opportunity (TXOP) for resource assignment to control contention access among managed BSSs. To perform the BSS channel level coordination, the coordinator AP is configured to encode a multi-AP trigger frame (M-TF) to initiate the coordinated TXOP. The M-TF may be encoded to include a time-sensitive operation IE indicating how each STA is to access the channel within the coordinated TXOP.

Abstract: The application relates to ultra-low latency data transmission in Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs). An apparatus used in an Access Point Station (AP STA), including processor circuitry configured to cause the AP STA to, when there is downlink urgent data that must be transmitted without waiting for a scheduled downlink slot: generate a downlink urgent packet from the downlink urgent data; and in a blank symbol of ongoing Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) uplink transmission to the AP STA, transmit the downlink urgent packet on frequency domain resources for the ongoing OFDM uplink transmission to the AP STA, or in a blank symbol of ongoing OFDM downlink transmission from the AP STA, transmit the downlink urgent packet on frequency domain resources for the ongoing OFDM downlink transmission from the AP STA.

Abstract: A wireless device, system and method. The device includes a memory and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry includes logic and is configured to cause transmission of a first uplink frame on a first channel, and while causing transmission of the first uplink frame: to perform channel sensing on a second channel to determine a busy or an idle status of the second channel; and, in response to a determination of an idle status for the second channel, to perform a backoff procedure to gain access to the second channel In response to a determination that the second channel still has an idle status after completion of the backoff procedure and after completion of the transmission of the first uplink frame, the processing circuitry is further configured to cause a switch to the second channel and to cause transmission of a second uplink frame on the second channel.

Abstract: An access point station (AP) generates a trigger frame (TF) for transmission to two or more non-AP stations (STAs) or groups of STAs. The trigger frame may allocate resource units (RUs) for a trigger-based (TB) transmission to the two or more STAs. The AP may encode the trigger frame to include a Common Info field followed by one or more Special User Info fields. The Common Info field and the one or more Special User Info fields and may be encoded to solicit (i.e., trigger) a trigger-based (TB) Frequency Aggregated Physical layer Protocol Data Unit (PPDU) (FA-PPDU) that includes more than one PPDU of at least two different physical layer (PHY) types from the two or more STAs or groups of STAs. The different PHY types may include high-efficiency (HE), Extremely High Throughput (EHT), Ultra-High Rate (UHR), and UHR+. Accordingly, an AP can trigger a FA-PPDU that includes TB PPDUs of different PHY types.

Abstract: An extremely high-throughput (EHT) station (STA) encodes a management frame to include a quality-of-service (QoS) capability element that includes a QoS information field configured to signal QoS redundancy capability. The EHT STA may set a QoS redundancy bit in the QoS information field of the QoS capabilities element to indicate (i.e., signal) that the EHT STA supports redundancy for QoS data frames. The EHT STA may include an Extended Capabilities element in the management frame and set a new redundancy indicator bit in the Extended Capabilities element to indicate (i.e., signal) that the EHT STA supports redundancy for a select subset of IEEE802.11 management frames.
