Abstract: A generation-Node B (gNB) configured for unlicensed spectrum operation above 52.6 GHz in a fifth-generation new-radio (NR) system (5GS) may encode a parameter (e.g., ssb-PositionsInBurst) for transmission to a UE (e.g., in the SIM or UE specific RRC signalling). The parameter may indicate candidate positions of synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) within a discovery reference signal (DRS) measurement timing configuration (DMTC) transmission window within slots of a system frame (SFN). During the DMTC window, the gNB may perform a LBT procedure on an unlicensed carrier of the unlicensed spectrum to determine if the unlicensed carrier is available. When the LBT is successful (i.e., the unlicensed carrier is available), the gNB may encode a discovery reference signal (DRS) for transmission on the unlicensed carrier. The DRS may include one or more of the SSBs transmitted during the candidate positions that fall within the DRS. The gNB may perform rate matching around the SSBs for a scheduled PDSCH based on the indicated parameter and transmit the rate-matched PDSCH.

Abstract: Embodiments of a user equipment (UE) configured for new-radio (NR) operations in a fifth-generation (5G) system (5GS) may be configured to detect a downlink-control information (DCI) format that includes a one-shot hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) request field and a frequency domain resource assignment field (FDRA). The one-shot HARQ-ACK request field may indicate whether one-shot HARQ-ACK feedback is triggered. The UE may decode the FDRA field to determine whether the FDRA field indicates a valid frequency resource or whether the FDRA field indicates a special value and may also be configured to determine whether or not a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) is scheduled by the DCI format and whether or not secondary cell (SCell) dormancy switching is triggered based on both the one-shot HARQ-ACK request field and the FDRA field. The UE may also encode a HARQ-ACK transmission on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH). The HARQ-ACK transmission may be encoded to include HARQ-ACK feedback for PDSCH transmissions for all HARQ processes of a cell when the one-shot HARQ-ACK feedback is triggered.

Abstract: Systems and methods for interlace PUCCH transmission in 5G networks are described. The gNB sends an RRC message to a UE. The RRC message provides one or more PUCCH interlace allocations within a BW. Each PUCCH interlace allocation has a PUCCH format for each PUCCH interlace. Each PUCCH format contains a different PUCCH interlace index. The UE sends a PUCCH interlace in the BWP based on the PUCCH interlace allocation. A PUCCH in the allocated PUCCH interlace has a cyclic shift that is dependent on a resource block number in the allocated PUCCH interlace within the BWP.
