Abstract:
This dental handpiece comprises means for controlling the delivery of compressed air and water to an outlet conduit leading to the head of the handpiece. The water and air supply conduits from the motor open each into a circular groove formed in the inner periphery of a socket easily fitted on the tool holder retaining end of the motor. Radial ports formed in the socket open on the one hand into the grooves, respectively, and on the other hand into an annular chamber formed between the socket and the handpiece body, the outlet conduit extending from this chamber. A rotary ring accessible from outside the handpiece body is provided with a pair of seals off-set axially and angularly to each other and so arranged that in two end positions of the ring one of the two supply conduits is closed while the other conduit is open, and that in an intermediate position both conduits are open.
Abstract:
A piece of mechanized surgical equipment is provided, which includes an instrument holder having an element for receiving and retaining a surgical instrument for mechanized use. Also provided is a surgical instrument for mechanized use and configured to be mounted on the instrument holder. The element for receiving and retaining is mobile between an unlocking position, in which the element enables insertion of the instrument into the instrument holder or withdrawal thereof, and a locking position, in which the element prevents the withdrawal of the instrument from the instrument holder. Furthermore, the equipment includes a case in which an active blade of the instrument can be removably housed, the case having an engaging element for engaging with the receiving and retaining element so as to cause the element to move from the unlocking position to the locking position, or vice versa.
Abstract:
A canal preparation device includes a contra-angle having a head which is provided with a support for receiving an instrument for treating a canal. The instrument is provided with a shank, and the shank of the canal instrument includes a rotational drive. The base of the head of the contra-angle is provided with a snap-fastening connection which cooperates with the shank of the instrument so that, simply by pushing, the rotational-drive of the shank is engaged in the head, and the shank and the head are snap-fastened together.
Abstract:
A support for a dentistry handpiece or contra-angle is connected to a dental unit, such as a motor, including apparatus for the supply of water and air for spraying the working point of the supported handpiece of contra-angle and, if desired, apparatus for supplying electric current to bulbs situated in the head of the handpiece or contra-angle for lighting in the working point and/or fibre optics. The rear face of the support is provided with a projecting ring of insulating material and the motor includes an annular hollow form for receiving the ring when the support is mounted to the motor.
Abstract:
A transmission device for use in a dental handpiece has a modular unit comprising an input shaft coaxial to and driven by the motor shaft, and an oblique shaft extending obliquely with respect to the input shaft and also to the tool driving shaft. Each end of the oblique shaft carries a bevel pinion, one bevel pinion meshing with a bevel wheel fixed to the input shaft and the other bevel pinion meshes with another bevel wheel fixed to the tool driving shaft. The input and oblique shafts are mounted in suitable bores formed in a socket, the oblique bore remaining without the peripheral limits of the socket. The socket is adapted to be forcibly fitted into the handle of the handpiece.
Abstract:
System of coupling of the head of a drive unit to the body of a driven unit, characterized in that, the head bears a longitudinal key having two slopes inclined in relation to the axis of the head, and the body has a guiding or key-way groove for this key, this groove opening on an annular clearing in which a segment can be rotated against a spring and in which a pin is fastened radially, so that, while the key is engaged, this pin, by cooperation with the first of the slopes controls the rotation of the segment, then by cooperation with the second slope controls the blocking of the head in its driving position, and the segment can also be operated by hand so as to free the pin and allow the withdrawal of the head by drawing the key rearwardly.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an endodontic instrument used for working on a canal in a tooth, having a base from which an active portion for working on the canal extends longitudinally, characterized in that said active portion has at least one slot extending longitudinally and forming a passage for fluid.
Abstract:
A dental handpiece (1) includes mechanical components, in particular, a tool-holder assembly for the attachment and for the rotational driving of a dental instrument about a drive axis (6) and an assembly for the transmission of such movement. The mechanical components are mounted in the interior of a body (2) having a head (4) and a handle (3). The mechanical components of the handle and the head of the handpiece are electrically connected by an elastic and electrically conducting connecting device.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for axial retention of a dental instrument shank and for transmitting the rotational driving of the instrument. The device is arranged in a head of a contra-angle or handpiece. The shank has an annular groove in which at least one stud is able to engage radially, and a flat permitting rotational driving of the shank. The rotational movement is communicated by an output pinion of a mechanical transmission assembly coupled to a drive motor and arranged in a sleeve joined to the head of the contra-angle. The device is formed by a shaft traversed axially by the instrument shank, at least one elastic lever, and at least one pin. There is cooperation of the pin or pins with the flat provided on the instrument shank.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for designing and producing a package intended for the protection and/or transportation of a product. All of the digital design steps for the package are integrated in the method for digitizing the product, which includes a step of laminating a virtual key form of the product used to define geometrical data of each layer of the package to be cut. Then, the cutting is carried out followed by the stacking of the layers of the package defined by the design steps for said package to form a real package. The invention also relates to the package obtained by the method.
