Abstract: A transmission includes a primary gear including primary teeth, each having a primary surface; a secondary gear including secondary teeth; an intermediate gear including intermediate teeth, each comprising a primary intermediate part having a primary intermediate surface and a secondary intermediate part having a secondary intermediate surface, where the primary intermediate part is axially offset from the secondary intermediate part. The intermediate gear is axially displaceable to an engaged position. The primary surface contacts the primary intermediate surface in a contact region and the secondary intermediate surface contacts one of the secondary teeth. In the engaged position, one primary tooth and one intermediate tooth form an overlap, radially inside the contact region, for preventing the intermediate gear from being displaced from the engaged position to a disengaged position.

The power transmission mechanism may include a first bevel gear rotatable by the drive shaft and a second bevel gear positioned for engagement with the first bevel gear. The second bevel gear may include an axis of rotation oriented at least substantially perpendicular to an axis of rotation of the first bevel gear. A disengagement mechanism may be coupled to at least one of the first bevel gear or the second bevel gear and configured to selectively engage and disengage the first bevel gear and the second bevel gear.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a levelling unit for cameras or sensors, comprising a base, a tilting table that is tiltable with respect to the base, and two wedge rings arranged between said base and said tilting table, each wedge ring having two end faces oriented to one another in a wedge-like manner. Abstract: The device is a precision motion right angle drive for use with linear and rotary stages which employs a combination of globoid worm and small diameter star gear. Coaxial with the star gear, on the same shaft, is a spur gear which drives the rotary stage gear or a linear rack. The thin star gear achieves meshing accuracy with the globoid worm permitting a large tooth angle for direct preloading without jamming. This gear combination eliminates backlash, allows a low gear ratio for low globoid worm speed, and enables the use of an ordinary spur gear to engage the stage gear without backdrive or backlash. Further, it allows for gear contact area to compensate for the thinness of the star gear. An embodiment including an integrated bearing rotary stage permits flexibility of application and avoidance of need for custom bearing designs by achieving high motion precision at low cost.

Abstract: A work apparatus has a gear unit which is arranged in a gear housing. The gear unit includes a drive part arranged in a first housing part of the gear housing and an output part arranged in a second housing part. The two housing parts are connected to each other via a pivot joint which permits pivoting of the second housing relative to the first housing part about a pivot axis. The pivot joint has a clamping device for bracing the two housing parts in the direction of the pivot axis. The force exerted with the clamping device on the two housing parts is adjustable via a clamping element. To avoid loosening or releasing of the clamping device even after frequent pivoting, the clamping element moves during clamping in the direction of a clamping axis which encloses an angle α which is more than 10° with the pivot axis.

Abstract: An epicycloidal gear assembly for use in a vehicle seat actuator includes a planetary gear that is driven by a worm gear. The planetary gear has an outer edge surface that extends between opposed sides of the gear and has a first set of external teeth, and an inner edge surface that extends between the opposed sides and defines a central opening. The worm gear includes a gear head defining a second set of external teeth, and a gear stem extending from the gear head and passing through the central opening. An outer surface of the gear stem is configured to engage the planetary gear inner edge surface in such a way as to drive the planetary gear, and the planetary gear inner edge surface defines a smooth curve between the first side and the second side.
