Abstract:
An oval track exercising climber including a pair of pedals pivotably supported between a pair of oscillating bars and a pair of guide bars, and a pair of links pivotably coupled between the oscillating bars and the guide bars, the connecting points between the guide bars and the links being respectively pivoted to a pair of cranks, the pedals being forced to move along an oval track and pedaled.
Abstract:
A mount for optional equipment for bicycles. The mount is mounted on handle bars of bicycles. A number of pairs of flanges are attached to or formed on the mount. A pair of flanges is attached to or formed on each item of optional equipment. The pairs of flanges attached to or formed on the mount engage with the pairs of flanges attached to or formed on the items of optional equipment, so that the items of optional equipment are mounted on the mount in a quickrelease way.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for cutting and sealing a moving length of a fabric by heating, sealing, and finally cutting the fabric in a linear process to form an even, fused edge. The fabric undergoes a sequence of manipulations efficacious for cutting and sealing the fabric to a desired pattern and edge width. The method and apparatus help to minimize frayed edges on the fabric by bonding and fusing the fibers prior to cutting. The fabric is initially drawn through the apparatus in a predetermined pattern, such as a window blind. A heating portion directs a hot gas onto a section of the fiber desired for creating the edges. The heated section is compressed under a seal, which helps fuse perpendicular and parallel cross sections of fibers. The newly sealed section is then immediately cut with a cutting portion to form at least one fused edge.
Abstract:
Engineered fusion proteins comprising photochromic protein domains are disclosed. In particular, the inventors have constructed fusion proteins containing photoswitchable photochromic fluorescent protein domains linked to selected proteins and shown that such fusion proteins can be used to control the activity or localization of selected proteins with light.
Abstract:
A piping connector is provided having a ring configured to install around an external diameter of a pipe, the ring having at least one clamp closing portion that has an open uncrimped position and a closed crimped position, a piping shield connected to the ring, the piping shield having at least one penetration to accept the at least one clamp closing portion, wherein the piping shield covers an abutment end of the pipe to be connected, wherein a joint between the ring and the piping shield forms a connection.
Abstract:
An example an integrated patient information viewer includes a header portion to be arranged to convey identification information for a patient to a user at a glance; a timeline arranged to provide a longitudinal visualization of a patient's record; a user viewspace to display a chronological view of patient encounters and associated documents; and a document workspace to store one or more patient documents based on user placement. The timeline is to be navigable to display different portions of the patient's record based on user input, is to provide visual indicators of clusters of patient encounters, and is to expand to provide further detail on a patient encounter based on user input. The viewspace is to enable a user to one or more documents for display and comparison. The one or more patient documents are to be retrievable for display and comparison in the user viewspace.
Abstract:
A system determines, in real-time, the routing of communication services from origination to destination based on a number of selected criteria used to determine an optimal path. Best value routing enables carriers and service providers to route a session/call by using an advanced intelligent network solution to generate optimal routes/service providers for servicing a request.
Abstract:
An electric power generation system is disclosed. The electric power generation system comprises a string configured to be pulled. The electric power generation system further comprises a bobbin configured to rotate when the string is unwound from the bobbin. The electric power generation system further comprises an electric power generator having a rotor. The rotor is configured to rotate such that the ratio of number of rotations of the rotor and the bobbin is 1:1 when the string is being pulled.
Abstract:
An electric power generation system is disclosed. The electric power generation system includes: a string configured to be pulled; a bobbin configured to rotate when the string is unwound from the bobbin as the string is pulled; an electric power generator having a rotor wherein the rotor is mechanically coupled to the bobbin; and a case containing the bobbin and the electric power generator, wherein the case configured with an integral anchoring attachment.
Abstract:
An internally disposed cooling device is provided. The cooling device includes a cooling member and a docket member. The cooling member includes a first cooling unit, a second unit and a cryogenic element. The cryogenic element has a cold surface that contacts the first cooling unit, and a hot surface that contacts the second cooling unit. Since the cold surface of the cryogenic element has a temperature much lower than that of the room temperature, the first cooling unit can thus produce cold and dry air to cool down the electronic apparatus. Meanwhile, the second cooling unit is employed to dissipate heat generated from the cryogenic element.
