    Abstract: An electric compressor includes a compression part, an electric motor, an inverter device, and a housing. The inverter device includes an inverter circuit, a noise reduction unit, and a circuit board. The noise reduction unit includes a common mode choke coil and a smoothing capacitor. The common mode choke coil includes an annular core, a pair of winding wires, and an annular electrical conductor. The electrical conductor is split into a first metal plate and a second metal plate in a circumferential direction. The first metal plate is thermally coupled to the housing. The second metal plate is electrically connected to the first metal plate. An electrical resistance value of the first metal plate is larger than that of the second metal plate.

    Abstract: An on-vehicle motor-driven compressor includes an inverter device having a noise reducer. The noise reducer includes a common mode choke coil. The common mode choke coil includes an annular core, first and second windings wound around the core, the second winding being spaced apart from and opposed to the first winding, an annular conductor that extends over the first winding and the second winding and covers the core, and an insulating layer located between an inner circumferential surface of the conductor and outer surfaces of the first winding and the second winding. The conductor is tubular and belt-shaped. The core includes an exposed portion that is not covered by the conductor. The insulating layer is tubular and belt-shaped. An entirety of the conductor is arranged within a range between opposite ends of the insulating layer.

    Abstract: A common-mode choke coil includes a loop-shaped core, a cover made of a conductor covering at least part of the core, a first winding wound around an outer surface of the cover, and a second winding wound around the outer surface of the cover. The cover includes a first region around which the first winding is wound, a second region around which the second winding is wound, and two connection regions that connect the first region and the second region to each other in a circumferential direction. The cover has first and second slits in an inner circumferential surface. The first slit extends such that the first region is non-continuous with respect to a winding direction of the first winding.
