Abstract:
A fixing apparatus includes a heating unit configured to heat an endless belt stretched around a plurality of rollers, a lower pressure roller pressed into contact with the fixing belt, and a control unit configured to control the temperature of the fixing belt by controlling the heating unit, and fixes an unfixed toner image formed on a continuous paper to the continuous paper by heat from the heated object under a nipping pressure applied at the nip portion which is formed by engagement between the fixing belt and the lower pressure roller. The control unit controls the temperature of the fixing belt to be a stand-by temperature lower than such a first temperature, which is set up in advance, that paper trouble might occur if the continuous paper is continuously heated at a temperature not lower than the first temperature in a stand-by state in which fixing is not performed.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming section including a light exposure section configured to expose an image bearing member to light to form an electrostatic latent image, the image forming section being configured to form a toner image on the image bearing member, and to form an image on a recording sheet by transferring the toner image onto the recording sheet; an estimation section configured to estimate a density lowering position on the basis of image data of an image formed by the image forming section, the density lowering position being a position where decrease in image density relative to a predetermined image density is caused in the image; and a control section configured to increase a light exposure amount at the density lowering position estimated by the estimation section on the image bearing member to an amount greater than a predetermined light exposure amount.
Abstract:
There are provided an operation control method of an image processing system including an image processing apparatus and a remote terminal; the image processing apparatus; and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing an operation control program of the remote terminal. The method includes: operating the remote terminal to monitor a remaining life of the battery thereof, output a notification of a reduction of the remaining life, and in response to receiving the notification, send the image processing apparatus setup information having been set by an operator through an operating section of the remote terminal until receiving the notification; and operating the image processing apparatus to receive and store the setup information from the remote terminal, and on the operating section thereof receiving an operation to give an instruction for a continuation of the setup operations, to reflect the setup information to the setup screen displayed on the display section thereof.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes: an image former that forms a toner image based on input image information by superposing toners of plural colors on a recording material; a fixer that fixes the toner image formed on the recording material; a toner amount calculator that calculates, from the input image information, an amount of toners to be superposed on the recording material; and a hardware processor that controls the image former to supply an assistance toner that assists melting of the toners used for forming the toner image based on the input image information by an amount corresponding to the calculated amount of toners.
Abstract:
A method of controlling an image forming apparatus, an image forming apparatus and image forming system are described, with which banner paper can be processed by appropriately detecting the banner paper in the fixing position when the conveyance of the banner paper is halted. The image forming apparatus comprises a paper conveying unit for conveying banner paper, an image forming unit for transferring an image to the banner paper, a fixing unit for fixing the image to the banner paper in a fixing nip by heating and pressing the banner paper conveyed along a conveying route, and a control unit. This control unit identifies information about the paper position which coincides with the fixing nip when the conveyance of the banner paper is halted and information about the amount of paper deformation of the banner paper in the paper position, and outputs the information which is identified.
Abstract:
Provided is an image forming apparatus including an image carrier, an exposure device, a developing device that supplies a developer to form a toner image, and a hardware processor that controls the image carrier, the exposure device, and the developing device. The image forming apparatus further includes a fume prevention plate that covers a part of an internal space of the developing device where the developing roller is disposed and the developer is stored and that prevents the developer from scattering outside from the internal space, a suction duct, and an air suction device. One end of the suction duct is connected to the internal space and another end of the suction duct is connected to the air suction device. The fume prevention plate includes a movable portion. A position of the movable portion can be changed between a first position and a second position different from the first position.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus that forms an image on a transfer material in an image forming mode, includes: a photoreceptor rotatable in a predetermined rotation direction; a developer that forms a toner image on the photoreceptor using a two-component developing agent including toner and a carrier; a transferor that transfers the toner image on the photoreceptor onto the transfer material; a carrier collector that applies an electric field corresponding to a collecting bias to a carrier adhering to the photoreceptor to collect the carrier; a carrier detector that detects a carrier remaining on the photoreceptor after collecting the carrier by the carrier collector; and a hardware processor that sets the collecting bias in the image forming mode on the basis of the amount of carriers detected by the carrier detector when a carrier adhesion detecting mode for forcibly causing a carrier to adhere to the photoreceptor is executed.
Abstract:
A control apparatus includes: a communicator that communicates with an image forming apparatus capable of executing a print job; and a hardware processor that obtains, for each of the image forming apparatuses in communication with the communicator, a degree of variations in remaining endurance of each of a plurality of units included in the image forming apparatus, wherein the hardware processor assigns a print job to the image forming apparatus having the smallest degree of variations.
