Abstract: The present invention relates to latency compensation for image processing devices. In order to assign overlay data to frames of a raw image stream (210), past frames within a selection of frames of the raw image stream are considered, which past frames already underwent image processing. A current frame of the raw image stream (210) is compared to the past frames contained in the selection of frames, and that one of the past frames is identified that is most similar to the current frame. Overlay data from the identified past frame are chosen and assigned to the current frame. Thus, the current frame can be presented together with the assigned overlay data chosen from the most similar past frame and without the need to wait for the result of a computationally expensive and time-consuming image processing of the current frame.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for configuring a medical device. The method comprises: providing a set of one or more parameters for configuring the medical device. Each parameter of the set has predefined values. A set of values of the set of parameters may be selected from the predefined values. Using the selected values the set of parameters may be set, which results in an operational configuration of the medical device. The medical device may be controlled to operate in accordance with the operational configuration, thereby an operating status of the medical device may be determined. Based on at least the operating status the operational configuration may be maintained or the selecting, setting and controlling may be repeatedly performed until a desired operating status of the medical device can be determined based on the operating statuses resulting from the controlling.

Abstract: A medical imaging system for acquiring medical image data from an imaging zone. The medical imaging system includes a memory for storing machine executable instructions and medical imaging system commands. The medical imaging system further includes a user interface and a processor. Execution of the machine executable instructions causes the processor to: receive scan parameter data for modifying the behavior of the medical imaging system commands; receive metadata descriptive of imaging conditions from the user interface; store configuration data descriptive of a current configuration of the medical imaging system in the memory; calculate an error probability by comparing the metadata, the configuration data, and the scan parameter data using a predefined model, wherein the error probability is descriptive of a deviation between the metadata and between the configuration data and/or the scan parameter data; perform predefined action if the error probability is above a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: A method (100) is disclosed for determining a signal indicative of a state of a subject during a diagnostic imaging or therapeutic procedure based on camera observation. The method comprises acquiring (101) camera images from a camera configured to monitor a body part of the subject during the procedure, e.g. via a reflection thereof in a reflective surface. The method comprises detecting (102) a shape or contour of the reflective surface in at least one acquired camera image to define a region of interest in the image that contains image information corresponding to the body part of interest, and segmenting (103) the region of interest in one or more camera images to select pixels that correspond to a feature of the body part of interest. The method also comprises determining (105) the signal indicative of the state of the subject from the selection. The invention further relates to a corresponding device, system and computer-program.

Abstract: To obtain feedback on image quality from qualified reviewers, an optically machine readable code (124) (e.g., a QR code or the like) is generated for each acquired medical image and embedded into the image. The embedded code includes information to the identity of the image, the imaging device, authorized reviewers, and authorized recipients of the feedback, as well as a link to a feedback form that can be retrieved by a communication device (38) used by an authorized user. When the embedded code is scanned by the communication device, the code is decoded and the feedback form is retrieved from a server, completed by the reviewer, and transmitted back to the authorized recipients of the feedback.

Abstract: Some embodiments are directed to a container builder (110) for building a container image for providing an individualized network service based on sensitive data (122) in a database (121). The container builder (110) retrieves the sensitive data (122) from the database (121), builds the container image (140), and provides it for deployment to a cloud service provider (111). The container image (140) comprises the sensitive data (122) and instructions that, when deployed as a container, cause the container to provide the individualized network service based on the sensitive data (122) comprised in the container image (140).

Abstract: The invention provides a method and system for assessing a treatment recommendation (TR) for a patient. It involves analysis of the treatments provided to previous patients (pr) with the same general medical condition by a plurality of different treatment specialists. A measure of conformity (C) of the treatment recommendation to the medical condition (MC) of the patient is provided, based on the range of treatments received by previous patients having that medical condition, for example based on a relative value between the number of previous patients (npr) that received the recommended treatment and the number that received all possible treatments.

Abstract: The invention relates to a scan region determining apparatus (12) for determining a scan region of a subject to be scanned by a scanning system (10) like a computed tomography system. A spatial transformation defining a registration of an overview image and a template image with respect to each other is determined, wherein initially the overview image and the template image are registered by using an element position indicator being indicative of a position of an element of the subject with respect to the overview image. A template scan region is defined with respect to the template image, wherein a final scan region is determined by projecting the template scan region onto the overview image by using the determined spatial transformation. The registration and thus the determination of the spatial transformation are very robust, which improves the quality of determining the final scan region.
