    Abstract: A roller support mechanism supports a rotary shaft of a second roller disposed in parallel with a first roller. The roller support mechanism includes a support frame, a cover member, a bearing member, and an urging member. The support frame is made of sheet metal and has a support groove extending in a direction away from the first roller and receiving the rotary shaft. The cover member is made of sheet metal and is attached to the support groove to cover a pair of side edge sections facing each other across the support groove. The bearing member is made of resin and has a bearing groove that rotatably supports the rotary shaft. The bearing member is disposed in the support groove, with the cover member interposed therebetween, so as to be movable in a direction toward/away from a bottom of the support groove. The urging member urges the bearing member in a direction away from the bottom of the support groove.

    Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a stacking tray, a control unit, an alignment member and a supporting mechanism. The control unit performs a rotational sorting. An alignment member includes a leading end wall coming into contact with a leading edge of a portrait sheet stack, a pair of first side walls coming into contact with both side edges of the portrait sheet stack and a leading edge of a landscape sheet stack, and a pair of second side walls coming into contact with both side edges of the landscape sheet stack and aligning the portrait sheet stack and the landscape sheet stack. The supporting mechanism supports the alignment member so as to be movable in an alignment position where the alignment member protrudes from an upper face of the stacking tray and in a retracting position where the alignment member retracts from the upper face of the stacking tray.

    Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a transfer belt, a cleaning device that sweeps off toner remaining on a transfer surface of the transfer belt by using a rotary brush, electrically adsorbs the toner swept by a recovery roller, and removes the toner, a pre-cleaning brush that slidably contacts with the transfer surface of the transfer belt at an upstream side in a belt rotation direction from the cleaning device, and a support member that supports the pre-cleaning brush. A support wall of the support member is formed with openings that liberate foreign matters such as toner and paper powder deposited onto the pre-cleaning brush.

    Abstract: A powder conveying device includes a first conveying unit, a second conveying unit, a conveying member, a powder pulverizing member, and a protective member. The first conveying unit has a lower end. The second conveying unit has one end connected to the lower end. The conveying member is disposed in the second conveying unit and includes a shaft member and a protruding portion formed around the shaft member, and conveys the powder. The powder pulverizing member is disposed in the first conveying unit so as to be able to oscillate. The protective member is attached to the powder pulverizing member and makes contact with the protruding portion of the conveying member. A contact state between the protective member and the protruding portion changes according to a rotation angle of the conveying member, and the protective member and the powder pulverizing member oscillate due to changes in the contact state.

    Abstract: A powder conveying device includes a first conveying unit, a second conveying unit, a conveying member, a powder pulverizing member, and a protective member.
