摘要: According to one embodiment, an electrode is provided. The electrode includes a current collector, and an active material-containing layer which is formed on a surface of the current collector and includes a plurality of niobium titanium composite oxide particles. A X-ray diffraction pattern using a Cu-Kα ray source with respect to a surface of the active material-containing layer includes a peak A with a highest intensity in a range of 2θ=26°±0.2° and a peak B with a highest intensity in a range of 2θ=23.9°±0.2°. An intensity ratio (Ia/Ib) between an intensity Ia of the peak A and an intensity Ib of the peak B is in a range of 1.80 or more to 2.60 or less.

摘要: According to one embodiment, provided is an electrode including an active material-containing layer that includes an active material, inorganic solid particles having lithium ion conductivity, and a carbon material. The active material-containing layer has a first peak corresponding to a maximum log differential intrusion in a log differential intrusion distribution curve according to mercury porosimetry. A pore size diameter D1 at the first peak is 0.05 μm to 10 μm. A first pore volume corresponding to the first peak is 20% to 50% with respect to a total pore volume within the active material-containing layer. A ratio of a second pore volume in a range of 0.005 μm to 0.02 μm relative to the first pore volume is 0.1% to 5%.

摘要: According to one embodiment, a secondary battery includes a positive electrode including first vacancies, a negative electrode including second vacancies, and an electrolyte. The electrolyte includes a gel polymer portion and a liquid portion, and the gel polymer portion has a gel-part ratio within a range of from 20% to 80%. At least a part of the electrolyte is held in the first vacancies and the second vacancies. A first ratio r1 of the liquid portion to the gel polymer portion in the first vacancies is within a range of 0.01≤r1≤10. A second ratio r2 of the liquid portion to the gel polymer portion in the second vacancies is within a range of 0.01≤r2≤10.

摘要: According to one embodiment, an electrode is provided. The active material-containing layer includes an active material, inorganic solid particles having lithium ion conductivity, and carbon fiber. A pore diameter DM at the first peak is 0.05 μm to 10 μm. A value SA−SB is 1.4 or more in a slope distribution curve of the active material-containing layer, where a vertical axis of the slope distribution curve represents a slope of a straight line passing through two adjacent measurement points on the log differential pore volume distribution curve and a horizontal axis of the slope distribution curve represents a smaller pore diameter of the two adjacent measurement points. The value SA−SB is obtained by subtracting a minimum slope value SB from a maximum slope value SA.

摘要: According to one embodiment, a nonaqueous electrolyte battery includes a container, a positive electrode housed in the container, a negative electrode housed in the container, and a nonaqueous electrolyte housed in the container. The positive electrode includes a positive electrode active material represented by a general formula LiMO2 (M is one or more elements selected from a group consisting of Ni, Co, and Mn). The negative electrode is spatially separated from the positive electrode and includes a titanium-containing oxide as a negative electrode active material. A potential of the positive electrode is 3.75 V or more vs. Li/Li+, when an open circuit voltage of a nonaqueous electrolyte battery is 2.17 V.

The separator layer includes a first porous layer containing a solid electrolyte and a second porous layer containing fibers. The second porous layer is in contact with a first surface of the first porous layer. The nonaqueous electrolytic solution includes a first solvent including at least one of methyl propionate and ethyl propionate, and a second solvent different from the first solvent. The first porous layer has a void fraction of 10% by volume or greater and 50% by volume or less. The second porous layer has a void fraction greater than the void fraction of the first porous layer.
