    摘要: A technology for providing an arrival direction estimation apparatus which can greatly reduce the calculation amount in spectrum calculation and can perform precise direction estimation without setting short frequency division in spectrum calculation is disclosed. According to the technology, there is provided the arrival direction estimation apparatus including an antenna, a complex digital signal converting means, a real number correlation matrix calculating means, a real number weight matrix calculating means, a spectrum calculating means, and a spectrum peak detecting means, wherein the spectrum calculating means has a real number matrix storing means which stores a real number matrix, a multiplying means which multiplies part of elements of the real number matrix by part of elements of a real number weight matrix, a result storing means which stores the multiplication processing result, a calculating means which performs at least one or more processing of matrix element inversion processing and matrix element sign change processing for the stored processing result, an adding means which adds the processing result by the calculating means, part of the processing result stored in the result storing means, and part of the elements of the real number weight matrix, and a spectrum calculating means which calculates a spectrum with the use of the processing result.

    摘要: An apparatus for detecting a direction of a target is provided. The apparatus transmits and receives radio waves through a plurality of transmission/reception channels causing a phase difference in signals to be received through the transmission/reception channels and calculates the direction based on the phase difference. The apparatus comprises a direction calculating device, range determining device, and direction correcting device. The direction calculating device calculates the direction of the target based on the phase difference in the received signals on the assumption that the phase difference is within a range of −π to +π [rad]. The range determining device determines that the target exists in any of azimuthal angle ranges each corresponding to ranges defined by (2m−1)π to (2m+1)π [rad] (m is an integer). The direction correcting device corrects the direction according to a range-determined result.

    摘要: A radar apparatus has a plurality of receiving antennas and an array transmitting antenna controlled to successively vary the direction of a transmitted beam within a range which includes a target detection range of directions. The direction of any target within the target detection range is detected based on a phase difference between incident reflected waves of adjacent receiving antennas. To eliminate false targets resulting from aliasing, each detected target is authenticated based upon closeness of its detected direction to the current transmitted beam direction. The receiving antennas and transmitting antenna are configured to exclude directions of grating lobes of the transmitted beam from the detection range, and thereby suppress effects of received reflected waves that originate from grating lobes.

An individual correlation matrix of received signal values is derived for each one of a fixed plurality of successive transmit/receive operations, with the transmission frequency being changed at successive operations. Individual correlation matrices derived from respective transmit/receive operations are time-averaged to obtain an average correlation matrix for use in obtaining target object information such as direction or velocity, with effects of correlation between respective incident waves being suppressed.

The processor extracts a distance component corresponding to a distance from each observation signal. The processor further collects the respective distance components and computes an estimated value of a corresponding correlation matrix with a forgetting factor as a parameter using a method for estimating correlation matrix with exponential smoothing. The processor further estimates the presence or movement state of the target on the basis of the respective estimated values of the correlation matrices and outputs the computed values.
