摘要: A binocular incorporates a focusing and diopter correction mechanism having a common shaft, whereby the diopter adjustment is performed by rotation of the shaft and the focusing operation is performed by axial movement of the shaft. The lens-moving portions of the focusing/diopter adjustment mechanism are in a cavity having an access hole, in which the shaft enters the access hole through a water-tight seal to control the lens-moving portions of the adjustment mechanism. The binocular also incorporates a strap attaching mechanism having a spring-loaded clip and groove, wherein a flanged pin provided to a strap end is pushed past the clip into the groove, and the clip returns under the bias of the spring to hold the flanged pin in the groove. Also included is an eyecup adjustment mechanism having two positions defined by click-stops, wherein the eyecups are not rotatable, but are longitudinally slidable relative to corresponding support barrels.

摘要: An zooming adjustment mechanism for an optical system is provided for reducing the length of the optical system along its optical axis, and enable the size down of the optical system. A cam ring is provided for adjusting distances between a first lens and a second lens that are constituting a telescope optical system in a binocular. Each of a first cam groove and a second cam groove includes two grooves. Two first cam grooves and two second cam grooves are formed on an outer circumferential surface at a distance along the circumferential direction. The two first cam grooves and the two second cam grooves are formed on the same area of the circumferential direction about the axis of the cam ring, i.e., the axis of a main shaft direction.

The connecting belt is supported and held in position so that it does not bind. The position of magnifying-power-varying lenses can be adjusted. The positions of the guide rings with respect to the telescope systems can also be adjusted.

The focus adjustment mechanism and diopter correction mechanism are arranged coaxially. The magnifying-power-varying mechanism includes rotatable cam rings and guide rings connected by a single connecting belt that moves perpendicular to the optical axes to rotate the cam rings. The connecting belt is supported and held in position so that it does not bind. The position of magnifying-power-varying lenses can be adjusted. During assembly, the magnifying-power-varying lenses can be mounted in the guide rings in a number of positions by rotating the lens frames holding the lenses about the optical axis and inserting sliders in linear guide grooves. Further, after assembly, the position of the magnifying-power-varying lenses along the optical axes in relation to the guide rings and cam rings can be adjusted.

摘要: An adjusting apparatus of a binocular telescope with a binocular body including a pair of juxtaposed telephoto optical systems is provided. The apparatus includes a diopter adjusting shaft for adjusting a difference in diopter between the pair of juxtaposed telephoto optical systems. The diopter is adjusted by rotating the diopter adjusting shaft to move an objective lens in one of the pair of juxtaposed telephoto optical systems. A focus adjusting shaft for adjusting a focus of the optical systems is also provided. The focus is adjusted by moving the focus adjusting shaft in a direction parallel to an optical axis. The focus adjusting shaft rotates the diopter adjusting shaft to move the objective lenses of the pair of optical systems in an integral manner in an optical axis direction. An operation member for rotating the diopter adjusting shaft and a connecting member for connecting the diopter adjusting shaft and the operating member are provided. The diopter adjusting shaft and the operating member are axially movable relative to one another, and the relative rotation of the diopter adjusting shaft and the operating member is impeded.
