    摘要: The present invention provides a fixture and method for mounting a head window to a frame for use in a submarine periscope system. The fixture supports the head window during the potting of the head window to the frame. A spring-loaded clamping plate is mountable to a baseplate for relative movement therebetween. The clamping assembly has an oval recessed portion. A plurality of spaced apart feet are formed within the oval. The feet support and are bonded to the head window. Shim stock are placed between the feet to define a critical gap.

    摘要: A sealing device has a sealing assembly disposed between a pair of a fixed frame and a first moving frame that relatively circularly move and rectilinearly move. The sealing assembly is fixed by bonding to the fixed frame. Two inclined fins of the sealing assembly are in slidable contact with the outer peripheral surface of the first moving frame. The fins provide a reliable light shielding, waterproofing, drip-proofing, or dust-proofing effect between the fixed frame and the first moving frame. The gap between the first moving frame and a second moving frame and the gap between the second moving frame and a frame are also sealed by the sealing assembly in the same manner. The sealing device permits reliable light shielding, waterproofing, drip-proofing, or dust-proofing, and also enables a lens frame to be made smaller at the same time.

    摘要: An underwater viewing device that may be held in the water from a moving boat for viewing below the surface of the water. The device includes a transparent bottom with side walls secured thereto and extending upwardly therefrom, the side walls forming a water barrier totally around the bottom. One end of the bottom and corresponding side walls define a bow shape. An outwardly turned flange is located at the top of the side walls to permit one to conveniently hold the device in the water while the boat is moving, or to which a boat mounted support may be secured.

    摘要: An objective lens comprises an iris diaphragm (D.sub.1) at the front and an optical assembly disposed behind the iris diaphragm. The optical assembly comprises a plano-convex front lens unit (G) with its plane surface facing the front of the lens, whereby the lens is suitable for use in media with different refractive indices (in practice, air and water). It further comprises a rear lens unit (G') adapted to apply the necessary correction to maintain abberations within reasonable limits and to achieve a required distance from the lens to the focal image plane. The invention is applicable, in particular, to discreet surveillance using a camera.
