A biasing mechanism that biases the rotating member toward an actually meshed portion between the toothed rack portion and the pinion gear. A supporting member is arranged to slidably support the rear surface of the rack bar.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for displaying a difference in the Abbe number of an ocular optical lens to facilitate visual appreciation and understanding of the difference by a layperson. The apparatus and method indicates a degree of chromatic aberration at each point of a spectacle lens by inputting data corresponding to an Abbe number and outputting a representation of a region of comfortable vision. A plurality of the data may be obtained using a plurality of spectacle lenses having different Abbe numbers. On a single screen, the invention displays an image of the shape of a spectacle frame, a plurality of regions of comfortable vision (as a circle, ellipse or another closed curve, for example) and the difference in vision due to the difference in the Abbe number is evaluated from the display.

    摘要: A electric motor, which drives a fluid pressure pump used to derive a steering assist force, is controlled in a required manner using a simplified arrangement. Specifically, a pump 11 which feeds a fluid pressure in order to produce an assist force is driven by a D.C. brushless motor 11 which is provided with means 18 for detecting a rotational position of a rotor 23 thereof. Motor control means 14, 15 drives and controls the motor to rotate at a given number of revolutions. Vehicle speed detecting means 16 detects a running speed of a vehicle. The motor control means controls the number of revolutions of the brushless motor on the basis of information representing a vehicle speed, a number of revolutions of the rotor which is determined by utilizing a signal from the rotor position detecting means, and information from means which detect a steer angle and a steering angular rate.

    摘要: The invention provides an automatic lens meter comprising an optical system forming a pattern image by projecting a pattern created by a pattern creating member and measuring optical properties of a lens based on the displacement of the pattern image from a baseline position wherein the examined lens is not in the path of rays in the optical system to a measuring position wherein the examined lens is in the path of the rays. The lens meter includes an image sensor for detecting the position of the pattern image using four line sensors 10a, 10b, 10c and 10d disposed on a pattern image forming plane and arranged in a cross shape, and the pattern creating member forms a pattern image having a quadrangular shape on the pattern image forming plane so that each line sensor intersects a side of the quadrangle, thereby facilitating accurate measurement of desired optical properties.

    摘要: The present invention provides an inexpensive and convenient method and apparatus for measuring light transmittance of an optical lens having refractive power. The method comprises obtaining the light transmittance of an examined lens from a value corresponding to a ratio between the intensity of measured light detected by a light detector when the examined lens is placed in the path of the measured light emitted from a light source and an intensity of measured light detected by the light detector when there is no lens undergoing examination placed in the path of the measured light so that the measured light does not pass through an examined lens and provides a baseline value. Specifically, the present invention focuses (converges) the measured light at or in a vicinity of a position where the examined lens is disposed when the examined lens is placed in the path of the measured light.

    摘要: A spectacle lens image sensing processing apparatus irradiates the convex surface of a lens to be examined with light from a light source, projects an image of the convex surface onto a reflection screen placed on the concave surface side of the lens. The apparatus senses the image of the convex surface, projected on the reflection screen, by using an image sensing unit, and performs image processing for the image of the convex surface sensed by the image sensing unit by using an image processing unit, thereby detecting optical characteristics of the lens. The image sensing unit is placed together with the light source on the convex surface side of the lens. The image of the convex surface of the lens is reflected by the reflection screen to return to the convex surface side of the lens, thereby forming the image on the image sensing unit. A spectacle lens positioning method is also disclosed.
