    摘要: The invention allows two-photon absorption to occur in response to a short-wavelength light beam. The recording layer (101) of the optical information recording medium (100) of the invention contains, as a two-photon absorbing material, a compound represented by general formula (1) having a hexadiyne structure that includes in the center thereof two acetylene groups connected by a δ-bond. At the time of information recording where a recording mark (RM) is formed in the recording layer (101), two-photon absorption occurs in response to a condensed, short-wavelength recording light, whereby the recording mark (RM) is formed.

    摘要: A write once optical recording medium has an inorganic recording film which includes an oxide film having germanium oxide (GeO) as a principal component, and a metal film adjacent to the oxide film, the metal film having a titanium/silicon alloy (TiSi) as a principal component. According to this arrangement, it is possible to construct an inexpensive write once optical recording medium with large strength capable of high density recording by using a short wavelength light source and an optical system with a high numerical aperture having excellent characteristics.

    摘要: An optical information reproducing apparatus includes: an irradiation section irradiating a light beam onto an optical information recording medium, in which holes are formed along a virtual track on a recording medium, along the virtual track; a light receiving section receiving a reflected light beam when the light beam is reflected by the optical information recording medium and sequentially generating a light receiving signal corresponding to the light intensity; a detection section detecting a variation pattern appearing when a signal level of the light receiving signal changes according to the hole; and a code string generating section, when generating a code string corresponding to the signal level, generating a code corresponding to the one hole from the variation pattern if the variation pattern falls within a range and generating a code string, which includes a plurality of codes, from the variation pattern if the variation pattern exceeds the range.

    摘要: An optical information recording medium including a recording layer that can record a large amount of information is manufactured using a simple system. A single recording layer is formed by bonding two optically transparent substrates on which the first photosensitive polymer and the second photosensitive polymer are spread such that the layers of the photosensitive polymers face each other. Furthermore, since the absorptivity of light in the recording layer increases as the focal point of light for information recording moves in a depth direction, information can be recorded without decreasing the recording transfer rate of the information.
