    Abstract: A piston for a compressor includes a bearing portion having a cylindrical shape to define a suction space into which refrigerant is accommodated therein, the bearing portion being provided with a bearing surface facing an inner circumferential surface of the cylinder, a head portion coupled to a front opening of the bearing portion and provided with a plurality of suction ports which communicate with the suction space, the head portion having a compression surface configured to face a compression space to compress the refrigerant in the compression space, and a flange portion coupled to a rear opening of the bearing portion and provided with a through-passage through which the refrigerant is introduced from a muffler unit to the suction space, the flange portion being coupled to a driving portion to transmit driving force to the piston. The bearing surface is subjected to a surface treatment to improve abrasion resistance.

    Abstract: A linear compressor includes a cylinder, a piston, and a discharge valve, wherein the piston includes a first part extending in the axial direction, a second part having a diameter greater than that of the first part and formed at one end of the first part facing the discharge valve, and a third part having a diameter greater than that of the first part and formed at the other end of the first part. The second part includes a first outer circumferential surface extending backward from a front surface of the piston, and a second outer circumferential surface spaced apart from the first outer circumferential surface in a direction away from the discharge valve, and a distance between the first outer circumferential surface and an inner circumferential surface of the cylinder is less than a distance between the second outer circumferential surface and the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder.

    Abstract: A method and broadcast terminal for receiving an emergency alert message in a sleep mode, are discussed. In one embodiment, the method includes monitoring fast information channel (FIC) wake-up indicator in an FIC segment to determine if the broadcast terminal should be switched to an active mode to receive the emergency alert message; getting an FIC-Chunk payload responsive to the FIC wake-up indicator in the FIC segment, the FIC-Chunk payload including an emergency alert data package indicator; receiving an alert data indicated by a data package identification included in the FIC-Chunk payload, the emergency alert data package indicator indicating an emergency alert table describing the emergency alert message is carried in the data; and parsing the emergency alert message based on the emergency alert table.
