Abstract: The present invention relates to a laundry processing apparatus comprising: a tub for storing water and provided with an opening for putting in and taking out laundry; a drum, provided in the interior of the tub, for storing the laundry supplied through the opening; an agitator rotatably provided inside the drum; a rotating shaft connected to the agitator by penetrating the tub and drum; a driving part for rotating the rotating shaft; a connecting part having a connecting body fixed to the drum, and a body-penetrating hole which is provided so as to penetrate the connecting body and through which the rotating shaft is inserted; and a power transmission part, provided inside the body-penetrating hole and connecting the rotating shaft and connecting body, for transmitting the driving power provided by the rotating shaft to the connecting body only when the rotating shaft is rotating in either the clock-wise direction or counter-clock-wise direction.

The washing machine according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a balancing unit to move along a circumference of a drum to reduce imbalance due to an unbalanced distribution of the laundry; a transmission coil provided at a tub to generate a wireless power signal and transmit power wirelessly to the balancing unit; a transmission converter to apply power at a driving frequency to the transmission coil; a voltage measurer to measure a transmission voltage, which is a voltage of the transmission coil; and a transmission controller to control the transmission converter based on the transmission voltage measured by the voltage measurer, thereby transmitting sufficient power wirelessly to the balancing unit in a short period of time.

Abstract: The washing machine includes a tub, a drum, a plurality of balancing units moving along the circumference of a front side or a rear side of the drum in order to reduce imbalance caused by concentration of laundry when the drum rotates, a vibration sensor sensing a vibration amount of the tub, and a controller moving the plurality of balancing units according to the vibration amount of the tub, measured by the vibration sensor. The controller controls a drum motor to rotate the drum at a constant rotation speed, moves the plurality of balancing units in the same rotation direction to minimize the vibration amount of the tub, measured by the vibration sensor, and thereafter moves the plurality of balancing units in different rotation directions to minimize the vibration amount of the tub, measured by the vibration sensor, thereby reducing imbalance.
